I've had a CHI for years and the results of this one is amazing! My daughters hair is thick, very curly and course. I never understood why my flat iron (the CHI) never made her hair super straight and silky, so I decided to try this and her hair looked incredible! Highly recommend for purchase, you honestly can't beat the price and it works great! Your fingers will hit the buttons when you use it, but if you use the lock button, this is not a problem. Absolutely love this iron! I have thick hair and it makes my hair smooth and shiny! It gets through it with ease but the tip with any flat iron is part your hair is small sections for optimal results. Only thing I found to be an issue is where the controls are. The iron is long so the controls are right on the handle which means you can hit them by mistake while using it. Which I did several times. Other than that it's lightweight, the temp control was great, heated up quickly and was very good to my hair. Let me add to this review the seller has called me to let me know on the iron it has a temp lock so you won't change the temp by hitting it. Also, I do not like the fact that this seller has called me around 15 times about this review. I love the product but I did not like the nagging to update it. Still a great product! I have yet to use this item, but wanted to start this review based on the packaging and build of the product. I will update this review after use.I'm extremely impressed with the packaging of this flat iron. Includes velvet bag. High quality and build. Marketing is everything and for the price I'm shocked not one person commented on this or showed a picture! Quality of the iron seems derable, light and manageble. Nice note in the box of a direct contact if you have issues. I contacted the company before our chase to clarify the warranty between this and their touch screen model. They responded with clarification that this model has a lifetime warranty as well and that the description of a 12 month is incorrect.I also asked for clarification on the plates and I WAS TOLD THEY ARE TITANIUM and the directions stating ceramic is INCORRECT. I can understand how reprinting marketing materials can be costly so it is of no concern to me about the misprint in the instruction manual. The manual is no more than one mini page.
