Headphones are great again.
My headphones were wearing out and of course the pads and the headband were the first things to go, this basically made them feel like new again, worth the cost of the originals. Good padding and feel comfortable. Fairly easy to replace, and fit perfectly. Headphones do sound a bit different at first when you get used to worn out pads for over a year like me, but it's not bad. Glad I replaced them and kept the headphones.

These are the real deal
I bought these to replace my 558's increasingly older and flatter pads. I didn't want to go aftermarket because I like how these sound and didn't want some ridiculous change. Plus, I like foam more than leather for my Sennheisers because of breathability. Anyway, on to the pros and cons 1. Actual, genuine replacements for the 558 series. They snapped right on, look identical, and feel identical to the ones I replaced (minus the 2+ years of wear and tear, of course). 2. Also fits 598, 559, 579, 599, etc. They all use the same pads as long as you don't mind black instead of gray or brown. 3. Easy to install. Just pop the old ones off and pop these on. There is an indicator dot on the inside of the pad. Attach the pad with the indicator on the outside of the headphone (line it up with the L and R printed on the outside of the ear cup) and they'll snap right in. 4. Made my 558s feel brand new. Cons 1. $35+ for a set of foam pads is a little much even if they are genuine OEM parts. 2. Availability is a bit of a problem. These seem to only appear in batches a couple of times a year. I'd like to buy a couple of them and just have them hanging around for the "dry season" when Sennheiser isn't selling these, but at $35 per pair of pads, that's not economically viable. Still, I pick a pair up when I see them available and my old pads start looking really beat up. I've had my 558s for 6 or so years now and it's nice that I'll get at least another 18-24 months out of them. The only other con I have is Senneheiser doesn't use the same Amazon sell page for these so once these are sold out, you may have to look for a different listing to see if they're in stock. A bit of advice for my fellow Senny owners. The new pads are gonna feel a lot less plush than your replacements at first. Mostly because it's been so long since you (and I, I did this too) experienced the pads brand new that we've all kinda forgotten how much stiffer they were out of the box. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for mine to "soften up" a bit and feel like the originals did.

Great Replacement
I buy a set every couple years when my previous ones finally give out. This is the only vendor I know that still sells the legit ear pads for my HD 558 headphones. I will continue buying for the life of my headphones or until inventory finally dries up.

Oem sound with oem fit
Good replacement for worn out pads that went flat. Seem to be a true oem replacement. Sound is unchanged. They feel the same as when the headphones were new. Just as much of a pain to install as oem though so I'm really hoping they hold up long term and don't go flat

Give your old cans a new lease on life
Great replacement for my 598 SR. The original ones had gone soft and the covers tore apart, but Sennheiser makes replacing these a breeze. There are cheaper unofficial covers, if you don't want to pay the OEM price tag, and the replacement itself is a breeze - no screws, glue, or tape. Just a sharp tug to remove, and a firm press around the rim to reinstall - it clicks right into place. Far cheaper than buying new headphones every few years when the old ones wear out.

Replacement pads for my Sennheiser HD598 SE
I bought these to replace my very worn down old pads on my HD598SE since they seem to be unobtainable from the Sennheiser website. The plastic rings on the back that snap onto the headphones are the same exact size as my original pair. Which means that these snap in and out just as easily as the original. It's very easy to do once you get under the plastic, it will simply pop off, just be gentle with the pad material. As for the comfort and material, the texture is very similar but the foam is firmer than my old pair. I think they just need to be broken in and softened. Time will tell I suppose, but I am happily satisfied with it and the sound stage they provide. The color is also a shade lighter than my original pair, but that doesn't really bother me. I'm still not sure if these are indeed GENUINE replacements. From what I can tell they are pretty darn close compared to the other ones listed on amazon, so I can confidently recommend them. My headphones look much better now so I'm happy. I will post some comparison pictures to help you decide your purchase. I've also included a picture with them installed on my headphones.

Perfect replacement for worn HD598 pads
These replacement pads slotted perfectly into my HD598 headphones. They were rather firm at first, but after a few days of use, they softened considerably (but not excessively!) and are now perfectly comfortable. These new pads provide a much fuller, bassier sound than my old pads, which had gotten very, very squishy and leaked lots of sound.

Not of original or "genuine" quality for my HD 558 headphones.
I bought some HD 558 headphones because they did not isolate sound and were supposed to be good for their price. They served me well for like... 3 years now? The ear cushions have been falling apart, so I ordered these from Sennheiser through Amazon. I would think these would be at least somewhat similar to the originals, but the only thing similar is their fitment to my headphones. The new cushions are much harder, isolates my ear more (sound and heat), and noticeably changes the sound characteristics I liked. I would not even calls these genuine as they do not fit the definition. Genuine: "actually having the reputed or apparent qualities or character" (according to Merriam-Webster. But they can call them genuine because of the other definition, "actually produced by or proceeding from the alleged source or author". To me, this feels like a scam. I extremely dislike the practice of using words to mislead a customer into believing a product will be higher quality and/or have certain properties than what is received. Perhaps, these cushions will serve some people well, but I can not say they are worth the price for a product that is subpar to the original. Also if these cushions are like what they have been putting on newer headphones, I believe it is time I look to another manufacturer for future headsets. In the meantime, I may be trying to repair my old cushions or looking for someone who has genuine quality cushions.

Genuine OEM Ear Pad replacements
Got them as a replacement for my HD 598SR that I bought in 2017, was a bit worried after seeing a review saying they were not the same and harder than the original ones, these seem to be genuine OEM replacements (I ordered these from Canada). They are slightly firmer than the ones I had replaced, but that's entirely due to the old ones falling apart and not holding the foam in properly, any part that was properly attached on the old ones had the same firmness as the new ones. Given a couple days to break in they are just as comfortable as the old ones. It's $10 more than on the Sennheiser website but entirely worth it if they are not in stock or you want them delivered fast.

100% recomendado.
