Heels collapsed Inside the shoes
This is my 5th pair of Nunn Bush Camerons. Loved the 1st pair, so when they wore out after about 1 year, I bought a 2nd pair. The 2nd was pretty good, except the sole wore through at the heel in a few months. I found out they are hollow. Thinking this was an anomaly, I bought a 3rd pair. The 3rd ones were like the 2nd pair, except after a few months the sole peeled off one shoe (at the heel). I tried shoe glue, but it failed. Thinking it was probably just an oddity and that I liked the initial comfort, ordered a 4th pair, but there was a quality issue with the stitching on the toe so I exchanged them for a 5th pair. After 5 weeks with the 5th pair, the heels collapsed INSIDE these shoes. Outside looks fine, but my heels now sink about ½” below the foot bed when I wear them. I can’t wear them because it really hurts my feet now. Now I have to buy shoes again. What happened? These were great shoes a few years ago. Now based on my experience, I no longer trust this company to make good shoes. Their quality is not what it used to be. I can not recommend these shoes or this company. I will buy another brand.

Don't buy! Soles crack with minimal use on several pairs I have bought.
This is my wife's account, but my review. Short reason: I have bought several pairs of these shoes and the soles split wide open near the ball of the foot after very light usage for about 100 days.Long reason: I had a pair of these about 10 years ago and loved them. They got heavy usage for about 6-7 years (lots of travel and long walks). Very comfortable and moderately stylish. After the soles wore down, as you would normally expect, I bought two pairs, one black and one brown. Now I wasn't as hard on these, wearing each pair about two days a week to work, where I spend 95% of the day sitting at my desk. After just over a year, the soles on both of them split in the same place, starting at the ball of the foot going all the way across. I chalked it up to a "bad batch" and ordered another two pairs (did I mention that they are REALLY comfortable?). Same story, lasted just over a year. Now, call me an idiot, because I ordered two more, thinking they MUST have figured this out by now. Nope. It's even worse this time, as the sole of one pair is now separating from the leather, as well as having the usual crack in the front.I took them to a cobbler today and he said there is no way to resole them because of the way they are (cheaply) constructed. I tried to find a way to contact the seller, to no avail. So if you want a comfy pair of shoes that will fall apart after maybe 100 uses, get these. I got burned on six pairs. I'm stupid.

Can Be Worn All Day Right Out of the Box!
I've owned about three pairs of these oxfords since I first discovered them on sale in a Kohl's store. I've been buying them through Amazon ever since (once I had my size nailed down) and I love them because they are extremely comfortable and can be worn all day right out of the box. The uppers are soft and pliable on day one, and this is likely what contributes to them wearing out faster than a 'traditional' leather upper. However, I have not seen the rapid disintegration that many other purchasers are reporting. I just bought two new pair, the black and the brown, and I have been rotating them each day for a week or so now and I have no complaints. If I see that they suddenly fall apart, the inner heels cave in and the soles start leaving black streaks everywhere, I will update this review. As of today, I am a very satisfied customer!

Great for this neuropathy patient!
I've been buying these shoes for about 10 years and they have always worked for me. I tried for years to find comfortable shoes as I have neuropathy. I tried all the top of the line name brand shoes that are supposed to work for neuropathy and none of them felt right. The moment I slipped these babies on I knew instantly--they felt perfect! The gel heel really helps. I have never had the problems of some of the other reviewers with splitting, etc. They have always held up great and I wear them all day, every day. I do find that my feet start to ache more after about 3-4 months so maybe something inside starts to wear out and doesn't support my feet anymore. As a result, I go through several pairs a year, but it's worth it. I would imagine, however, if one doesn't have to wear them all day, every day that they would be fine for an even longer period of time. I hope they never stop making these shoes.

Happy Me
Very pleased with the fit. Shoe strings are first rate and tie well. Very comfortable.I ordered shoes on-line a couple of years ago. I had to return most of them- mostly just problems with fit. Even the one pair I kept was out of frustration because I was not really happy with the clunky look but needed a pair of something to wear. So I was hesitant to even try again. But shoe stores just do not carry E widths and the big and tall stores have shoes that look like crap. So I tried again. Success! A pair that fits good, feels great and looks nice. I love Amazon, especially the informed reviews of people who take the time to tell the shortcomings of products as well as the plusses. Where else can you get that!!

Comfortable, warm feet in cold weather, beyond decent
Better than expected. I'd ordered the shoes and a few days later a snow storm hit. Ended up trying these out in the mess, and they were great. (I should have worn boots, but wore these instead.) Feet were warm through several fairly long treks through snow-covered paths in parks as well as on the city streets. They provided superior traction (I know because I had tried my Clark's first). These were comfortable, if not springy, right out of the shoebox. I'd had a pair of these in brown I'd bought maybe a year ago. I thought they were perfectly decent shoes, and they have worn well through NYC walking (lots of it & on hard surfaces). With the latest,I've upped my estimation. These are beyond decent.
