Easiest Way to Ace Federal Courts
I attend a *cringe* prestigious T-14 and I got an A in federal courts using this book. To put this in perspective, my professor is considered one of the leading experts on the federal court system, clerking for the U.S. Supreme Court (and was at Harvard law the same time as this book's author). Leading up to this exam, I was freaking out. I stopped going to class in early February and didn't even own the required textbook to the class, or even done one assigned reading for that matter. I had no idea what was going on. Our exam was a 24 hour take-home-exam. I taught myself everything I needed to know to write an A level exam in a class full of gunners with hard-ons to become federal clerks themselves. This book is amazing. Least effort I've ever put into a course (albeit considered one of the hardest offered at my school) and best results. Buy this book if you don't know whats going on in this class and just want to use this to work smart at the end of the semester, rather than hard for the entire term.

Chemerinsky is Constitutional Law's God
Whenever you have a class that is on a topic Chemerinsky has written a treatise on, YOU NEED TO BUY THE TREATISE! The only reason I got an A in Con law, after totally bombing my outline and group study sessions, was because Chemerinsky wrote a supplement. That supplement is the summation of absolutely everything I needed to know. His Fed. Jurisdiction supplement is turning out to be exactly like that. Don't hesitate. Just buy it and snicker as your classmates struggle. (Actually, don't do that. Don't feed into the law student stereotype.) If it weren't for cold calling, I don't think I'd need my textbook at all.

Only when a scholar knows the material intimately and in ...
Only when a scholar knows the material intimately and in it full context can that scholar reveal such simple unvaried truths about the topic that those truths can answer any students questions on the topic. Prof. C does this on every topic and subtopic in Federal Jurisdiction. Prof.C is a genius; he should be at USC, Standford, or Yale.

Rockstar fed courts treatise
Taking Fed Courts? Buy this book. Read it. (Do your class reading too, then go here to have it make sense.) Everyone turns to Chemerinsky for Con Law, but I found this book just as useful. It's not going to give you the most intricate, nuanced perspective, but if you're getting lost in the theories and need to take a step back and put everything in (accurate) context and add some broader insight, use this book.

Almost as advertised
Advertised as no highlighting, but the first 2 pages I opened to (in the middle of the book) had highlighting. Otherwise, exactly as advertised. I never highlighted my law texts, but know that that is a rarety for law students. The book replaces an older edition I had, which I thought was excellent, so I expect with use this edition will be well worth the purchase price - many times over.

Good Supplement
This book is great supplement to a federal courts class or casebook. It explains topics nicely. Moreover, it covered the cases that were included in the casebook. I found it very useful!

Product review
The treatise goes into more detail than you may need. It has a very good table of contents. Also it includes recent cases. It seems to be one of the most up to date supplements on the market.
