Great book, but alot of detail!
This book seems to have plenty of information to review. Unfortunately, it is a very long book. It would be nice if it was narrowed down a bit more. Also, it would be better if the answers to the reviews were part of the book rather than online.

Muy bueno para consulta pero un poco desactualizado
Es un libro muy completo con mucha información. Funciona mejor como material de consulta que como guía de estudio porque puede resultar abrumador. Además, al ser una edición antigua, algunos conceptos y clasificaciones están desactualizados. Útil, pero no ideal para estudiar para exámenes por sí solo.”

I passed my test, and that's all one can ask from a book like this. As for critique, there isn't much to be said. It's a more comprehensive look at the information likely to be included in the test, than other such books trying to do the same thing.

Not For Canadians
I got this because I was writing the canadian board exam but barely cracked it open. Only used the pathology chapter to review some of that. But the american and canadian tests are so different that you are wasting your time buying this for the canaidan boards.

Too Comprehensive, would only recommend if you've finished the required reading for the board exam first
Bought this to study for my national board exam. This book is very comprehensive and thought it would be a good tool to use to study from if you had the time (months and months in advance before the exam). After reading a couple of the chapters and trying their online quizzes, I thought that it was too advanced. (In the sense that the questions on the quizzes were probably not what was going to be on the exam and I was right) This is for people who want a really comprehensive background on certain topics. This book is not what the board exam recommends for you to study from. That being said, I studied off the book The Dental Hygiene Theory and Practice ed. 3. and thought this book would be helpful after I finished that book. I ended up just not using this book but will keep it on my shelf if I ever wanted to refer back. I wouldnt recommend this book unless you have finished the required reading from darby dental hygiene theory and practice and had more time to read from another book.
