Separates HDMI input signal into HDMI Video and Coaxial/Toslink Audio
I had to buy a FireStick to continue to get Amazon Prime Video. Amazon discontinued support of my Panasonic Plasma App. The FireStick Produces Dolby Digital Plus Audio. My Panasonic does not "pass-through" the Dolby digital audio signal from an HDMI input-- it results in only a stereo audio signal from the HDMI input. I needed to split the signal before the TV HDMI input. This unit successfully split the HDMI audio signal, which is then sent directly to the Amplifier (Pioneer SC-99). I went to a coaxial audio signal into the amp. The picture is great. The only issue is that the Dolby Digital audio signal "Drops Out" occasionally. The FireStick is Hard-Wired to with a LAN connection-- no signal loss there. Very short occasional loss of audio-- and back on instantly. Frustrating and annoying, but livable. That is why the 4 Star rating. I know I can go directly into the back of the Amp-- but I'd rather get as direct a signal that I can to the Plasma.

Audio Randomly Drops
Been using "weJupit HDMI Audio Extractor 4K 60Hz HDR Converter with ARC HDCP 2.2 1.4 4K 60Hz HDR Converter with ARC HDCP 2.2 1.4" for a few weeks. Having no problem with video but audio will randomly drop out or lose synchronization or sound will go real slow then re-sync. Very displeasing. weJupit HDMI Audio Extractor HDMI source is an Amazon Firestick (LAN connected) using HDCP setting of 1.4 (2008 Samsung Plasma) with SPDIF out to an Onkyo receiver. Switching audio cables or connection type has no effect nor does replacing HDMI cables. Unit maybe defective or not compatible with Amazon Firestick - regardless not happy with outcome.

Excellent all-around. No signal loss. Extremely high quality picture/ sound through HDMI/ARC
This device allows my Smart TV's internal digital (optical) audio out to be bypassed -increased- beyond the normal PCM 16-bit/48kHz limitation it's normally capable of. This allows for better sound via Amazon Music Unlimited with 24-bit/192kHz playback when inputted through an external DAC via digital coaxial connection.
