LOVE THESE BOOKS!!!!
I can't say enough good things about this series of books. I have used them to turn my 7 year old into a passionate bookworm. I started reading her the set and one night when we got the the end of a chapter and she begged for more and I handed her the book. I told her I knew she was perfectly capable of reading it on her on, and that she could have at it, but I was exhausted and going to bed. She read 214 pages that night and finished the book!!! These tales suck you in and make you want more. Innocent enough for children, entertaining enough for adults. One of my daughter's comments was that she liked that the words that she did not know were all defined in the book. The younger sister is 7 and when more advanced vocabulary is used she always asks for an explanation, which makes them great for young readers. Engrossing, funny, entertaining, and they challenge a child to look at the story from more than one point of view as the characters give their own take on the fairy tales that made them all famous.

The Best Book in the Series
OK. So all of the other Sisters Grimm books were and are just lovely, but this one takes the medal. It teaches unity and teamwork. This book was just amazing for me. It was really teaching me about the true meaning of friendship. As to be expected, there was some romance and mistakes, but you can easily overlook those when you see the lesson behind the story. Michael Buckley has absolutely outdone himself with this one. Absolutely.

READ IT!
I admit I am biased towards strong female characters. This series certainly has them and more. Like the other books in this series, it is well written with enough suspense and action to entertain young and old. This book was slightly rougher than the prior books in the series, but was still appropriate for my 10 year old daughter. She felt the book was a little slow towards the end, but was eager to move on to book 5.

Delightful, hilarious, engaging series
My husband has been reading this series aloud to my 6 & 8 year old over the last year. It never fails to delight them, and I often hear giggling from their reading corner. I sometimes even find myself finding a comfortable spot nearby to listen in as well. Great riffs on classic stories and fairytales and their characters, with a modern sensibility. You'll love to see some of your favorite characters introduced in their new guise, and your children will be introduced to a variety of great themes and characters of imaginative literature. Good series for read aloud or for competent independent readers, probably grades 3 and up.

Love it
As a teacher, I like to find stories that I love to pass on to students. I believe I have found that story! Michael brings stories of my childhood to life with new twists! Love it!

Great series.
I am really enjoying reading this series with my 10 year old girls. I have to say this book is my least favorite so far though as the story get a little frustrating in the middle...but it picked up and we are already on to the next book.

Sabrina goes home
Returning to their home town of New York City, Sabrina and Daphne are thrilled to be going home, but, when yet another mystery jumps into their lives, all Sabrina wants to do is get out.I love the detail Michael Buckley goes into when describing NYC, it makes you feel like you're there. Also, I like how Sabrina decides she wants to be a Grimm after all; she was getting to be a jerkazoid!

nostalgic read
this one is fun! Good character development and it's been long enough that I don't remember what's going to happen next

Book was in terrible condition
The book's bind was super weak and had rips. I wanted to buy the whole collection of this series to do a creative photo which meant I expected the bind to be in good condition. If I had known that the book's bind was not in good condition, I would never have bought this. I am super disappointed. I have to spend more money on the same book now since this copy was useless for my photo.
