I use this as a parole officer.. it works just like the video and the safety latch over it works great. Fits on my pants great

Fits my Glock 17 Gen3 perfectly. Easy to adjust all the straps witch have plenty of space to fit even the larger size legs. I cut mine shorter to make optimal use of the slip resistant silicone on the inside. The ALS needs a little getting used to but works great. This part isn’t coated with the suede lining. Time has to tell if this will eventually wear out the coating of my Glock.

I should have listened to the above post!!! This product does not match the picture. It is not fitted for a weapon mounted light. It's a great holster but the picture shows the weapon mounted light model. I should have known better.

Let me start by saying I have been a safariland fan for years. I have owned multiple SLS and ALS version holsters for various pistols and calibers. This particular SLS was a very pleasant surprise, because I was expecting a non light bearing model (in my foolishness I didn’t cross reference the model number on the safariland website). I am very pleased, however, because I would much rather have a light bearing model holster. Okay, good, bad, and ugly. Pros; safariland SLS holsters are always very well built, and extremely durable. I have put these holsters through their paces over the years and they have all held up and not needed replacing. The hood and thumb lock release mechanism put your hand in a natural draw position for your sidearm, and secure your sidearm extremely well. The leg straps are sturdy, as is the thigh platform, and as long as it is worn properly (high and tight) you shouldn’t run into issues with the holster moving around on you during activity. The belt attachment system involving the clip is nice because the ability to remove the holster from your leg without removing your belt is a big plus, there is a flaw to this, see below. Cons; the biggest flaw with this particular style of holster is how low it will ultimately sit on your leg. Remember that the point of a drop holster is to move your sidearm just low enough so that it clears your vest and gear you’re wearing, so your gear doesn’t interfere with your draw. The last thing you want is for your holster to be down by your knee...which, some people will do.... Because of the design of the belt attachment, the ability to ride the holster up as high as possible is limited, it’s not a deal breaker, but it does put the holster slightly lower than one would like. There is a guard that comes attached on the holster that goes over the hood and thumb release buttons, I personally find this a cumbersome and annoying device, though a good number of people are just used to it. I always remove it, which is easily done with the provided tools.

High quality as expected. Sizing was good I have big thighs and had no problem fitting the holster to my leg. In fact, there's enough leg belt for a truly huge leg. The pistol draw is different and will require a whole lot of practice to master smoothly. The tension screws didn't seem to do much to the function as I played with their settings. Overall an excellent purchase.

Great holster fits my G19 with a little room fits the G17 snug. Safariland says this holster will work with a TLR-2HL mounted light and it will NOT. Might fit just the TLR-2 but not the HL.

Safariland has always made great quality products and this is no different. I expected the platform to be extremely stiff and be uncomfortable on he thigh however, much to my surprise it is actually very comfortable and countours my leg perfectly. Highly reccomend.

I bought the flashlight that said it would work with this, but after doing further research the flashlight it was meant to work with was discontinued.
