Nikola Tesla, a remarkable and audacious inventor and visionary of his era.
My Inventions, serves as Tesla's autobiography, encompassing reflections on his significant breakthroughs and revolutionary creations. Among them, Tesla's most remarkable invention, AC, empowers a wide range of modern marvels, spanning from household heating systems to computers and advanced robotics.

Interesting and Useful Book!
This book is a rather quick read. It is written by the infamous Nikola Tesla. He was obviously a genius, but it also struck me that he was also a rather humble man as well. It seemed to me that someone like Nikola Tesla would be the ideal older brother because he was kind AND brilliant at the same time. I recommend this book to everyone who is either an engineer or is married to an engineer. It somewhat gives you a peak into the soul of a brilliant genius. I'm very glad I read this book and will no doubt read it again from time to time. (By the way, I am a female engineer and I worked with many male engineers over the years.) In general, engineers are a misunderstood group of people who have far more compassion and empathy than people realize. If you live with or are related to an engineer, I suggest that you read this book.

Tesla autobiography
Short book, very fast read. Obviously a brilliant guy. Equally obviously out there where the buses don't run : ) Raging egotist, and honestly, rightfully so. Book is a very biased look into the mind of one of the great inventors of all time. Growing up, we never read about him in history class, Maybe he was too quirky? The book could use the services of a good editor. Glad I bought it. Glad I read it. Informative in many ways-positive and negative, Now off to read 'Empires of Light' for a bit more objective view of the genius.

Fascinating insight into the life and mind of the great man
This work is an unexpected treasure. From the first page to the last I was enthralled by Tesla's life story. Not only does the book give a fascinating insight into the life and mind of the great inventor himself, but also includes details of his interactions with other famous figures of his times including people as diverse as Mr. Clements (Mark Twain himself) and Thomas Edison. Tesla describes how his unique mind worked. Amongst other fascinating insights, Tesla tells how he was able to visualise a new machine in his mind and run prototypes in his mind, without having to actually build the prototypes. Once he had perfected the machines and had them built according to his designs they always ran exactly as he had visualised in his mind. Hoe much time, energy and cost could be saved and how much more quickly progress would oxcur if others were able to emulate Tesla's methods-but alas it seems his was a unique genius and the rest of us are condemed to take the slower path of trial and error that is the scientific method. Tesla also describes many ideas which although never created are still fascinating and plausible, such as a worldwide high speed transportation system built around the world's equator. He even anticipated the creation of what we would now term robots or androids. I highly recommend this book for the insight it gives into the fascinating and prolific mind of one of the greatest and most unique figures of the 20th century whose inventions immeasurably transformed our world.

Such a good book
It feels like it should be criminal to only recognize this man as much as we have. His glory and brilliance overshadows his subtle lack of confidence abd the fact the he was swindled out of money and recognition, several times. Still, he was so humble he had the opinion that his plight, being "misunderstood and unrewarded," was the natural condition of an inventor. In some cases, his being one of them, it may be so but that doesn't make it right. Industries were built off of the sweat of his brow! This man, if only he had read and, like a politician, so passionately and relegiously followed The Prince, by Machiavelli, I imagine he would have had been able to contending with the likes of Rockefeller and J. P. Morgan, needless to mention Edison lol He ruthlessly got stepped on and ridiculed because they were too afraid, jealous, or just plain stupid. Very few are aware of his spiritual nature, he touches on this a little but, if I could ask him some questions, if I could travel back in time lol I bet he would describe a whole host of spiritual experiences; the obvious one was his method of invention. There should, at the least, the very least, be a national holiday for this man who, at a young age, unlocked a secret that made him a genius; a genius who so loved the world that he gave his inventions; inventions that gave rise to an unprecedented wealth of endless scientific advancement.

Tesla possessed an unusual method of thinking, with a very high capacity of invention. In this book, we could learn a lot from him.

Mistakes such as "Guest" instead of "Guessed", "Tho" instead of "Though" are found in this book. I am surprised to find such elementary issues in Tesla's autobiography.
