Sheds a lot. Stay away
This brush does shed several bristles every time Iv'e used it. It's still less than a week old but if it keeps up it wont last long. It is for sure boar's hair though because it stinks like it. Usually the smell will fade after you use it a bunch so that isn't an issue to me.If the bristles fall out to the point of not being able to use the brush anymore I will update this review otherwise you can assume that it is still working. The shedding gets worse the more you use it. After 5 days of use you can see that it is losing a lot of bristles. I do not recommend.

Great Elbow Cleaning Brush
I bought one of these for the shower, where I scrub my elbows, and it works great_ I got the stiffer bristle option for elbow scrubbing_ I don't have a Lumberjack Beard_ I have a trimmed Goh-Tee, so I use a comb for my beard, and this beard brush for my bald head, elbows, & Knees (if needed)

and I choose this product based on the good pricing, positive online reviews
I've been using this product daily since I received it, and thus far it's worked perfectly. There are a lot of beard products out there, and I choose this product based on the good pricing, positive online reviews, and the companies other quality products. I also use a beard conditioner from Zeus, and am very pleased with it as well. Aesthetically, this is a very attractive product, and the wood and bristle quality are top notch. I would absolutely buy it again. I typically use this brush twice a day... once after I shower and again before bed. I brush in beard oil, and have noticed an improvement in both my overall beard health and appearance. I have extremely sensitive skin, and have not experienced any breakouts or other negative skin issues. If anything, my skin looks healthier and I've received several beard related compliments. Something I hadn't received previously. As a side note, most of the negative reviews for beard brushes have to do with their poor bristle quality. It seems many brushes suffer from bristles continually come out or whole sections of bristles detaching. With this brush, a bristle may occasional detached here and there, but that's about it. There were a few bristles that came out or were loose the first few days I used it, but it hasn't happened since.

Impressed
I have two other brushes, one soft and one hard. This brush is the perfect balance. The first time I used it I was shocked that for the first time someone said to me “you brushed your beard”. What? It made that much of a difference? Very cool. My beard looks amazing now. Less flyaways and better looking beard. I’ll take that.

It was beautifully crafted so I asked how he liked it and ...
I had looked at this item several times in my search for a beard brush, but was a tad reluctant to get it. Recently I was visiting a friend and noticed he had this beard brush in his bathroom. It was beautifully crafted so I asked how he liked it and based on his statements I immediately made the purchase from my phone. Its a great product I've been using it for several weeks not and love it. I do find the bristles a little too stiff and abrasive for my short beard but I suspect that will balance out with use and it needs to be this way for those guys that have a thicker fuller beard than mine.

Figured these were good indicators of quality
This is the first beard brush I've owned. I bought it because it was made in Germany and had 100% Boar bristle. Figured these were good indicators of quality. Nice and soft, but yet gets the job done. Doesn't work great to get deep into a long beard, but I imagine there are other, firmer brushes for this purpose. Great for top of the head hair too if you need a little extra volume. Didn't want to spend this much on a beard brush, but glad I did. Great look, quality feel and works as well as I had hoped.

It's a brush. It brushes
Not too stiff, definitely not too soft. Pretty good brush for my short/mid length beard.Haven't had any issues with bristles falling out and we're almost a year in so that's neat

Nice Brush
Not sure what some other reviewers are talking about; I don't smell any bad odor coming from the brush. It is not as soft as I was hoping, but it is not horrible. Then again, this is my first beard brush. This may be the softest there is.

Perfect brush for shorter beards
Really happy with this brush. The much softer bristles are ideal for brushing a shorter beard as it’s much more gentle on the skin. For the longer beard, you may want to consider the hard bristled version that Zeus also make. The included drawstring bag is a nice touch. All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase.

Zeus brush: great grooming
Rustic looking and nice grooming with it, comes with its own pouch and it does help to brush softly.

Best beard brush you can get!
I did a lot of research online and found that boar bristle brushes are the best for a man's beard. After buying this brush I have to say all of the research really was correct. This is the best beard brush I've ever owned (having owned two before this one). It's firmness level is just right, not to soft and not to firm. I have a small beard, my brother has a much larger beard and we both absolutely love our brushes. The size of the brush is perfect as well. The quality of the product is fantastic, it has never lost any bristles.Tips:-Use this in conjunction with beard oil everyday to help make sure the oil is being applied evenly across your beard, roots and skin underneath.-Use it only at most twice a day, once if you can help it.-Never use it on a dry beard as it will just break your dry hairs.-Get into the habit of brushing your beard in one direction that way the hair retains that direction over time and you get the shape you want.-Use it only after applying beard oil and before applying any other beard balm or wax. This way the brush stays clean without getting any cream or wax in it.
