A: Yes, but if your trying to match the colors no. This can be used with any material, I used it on cotton and polyester.

**Q: Can you sew swimsuits with this thread?**
A: Hi; this is a decorative, heavy, twisted thread; I bought it to make hand made buttonholes, and it looks very nice.  For a light swimsuit stretchy material, I would  prefer a slightly stretch thread that worked well with a ballpoint needle in a zig zag stitch.
