I have fine, super straight hair, and this is the only volumizing product to give my hair lift without being super heavy/crunchy once it dries. The spray nozzle is perfect for getting to the scalp to lift hair from the roots.Here's the best method of use for my hair: Towel dry hair after washing and separate hair into sections after combing through (I usually have about 6 parts [ear to ear] along the front to my crown and 3 part down the back from crown down. Apply two "lines" of foam into each part, then use your hands to rub the product into the hair at the scalp, working the product out to about midshaft. Blow dry hair upside down then flatiron/curl as desired. If you don't see enough lift at the scalp, make sure you add at least two "lines" of foam into each part; I haven't seen any negative effects of using too much, only if I do not use enough. I have thin, fine hair and I live in the south. Translation: I deal with humidity all year long and it ain't a pretty thing. This is the only product I have found that gives me some body without somehow having poofy hair. Unlike a traditional mousse, you focus a small jet of foam directly onto your scalp and smoosh (technical term) it in. From there, it is business as usual.
