All-Of-A-Kind Family Uptown

The series gives a wonderful feel for Jewish life in a working class family in the 1910's.

I JUST LOVE ALL THE ALL OF A KIND FAMILY BOOKS. I JUST GOT AND JUST READ THE THIRD BOOK I ALSO HAVE ORDERED THE FOURTH BOOK ALL OF A KIND FAMILY DOWNTOWN. THE FIRST THREE BOOKS ARE WONDERFUL I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THE FOFOURTH AND FIFTH BOOKS, TO READ THEY ARE TURLY WONDERFUL BOOKS BUY THEM AND READ THEM YOU WILL LOVE THEM.

This book (and it’s series) are great books The only thing I don’t like about this series and this book is it always stops so abruptly. But besides that these are great books!

I loved the All of a Kind Family books when I was a kid. They were my first real introduction to my Jewish heritage and traditions. I thought they might be a bit old fashioned for my grandchildren but both my 7 year old grandson and 4 year old granddaughter love them. I only wish there were more. Can't wait to read them the Hanukkah one next.

The All of a Kind family faces hardship as they confront illness, disappointment and war, and the joys of reunion, birth, and growing up. In their new home they learn about Christian traditions and save for the war effort.

Loved this book as a little girl, and wanted to share this with my niece. She loves the series as much as I did!

This is the third book in the series and it is as good as the others. A fine continuation in the story of one family growing up at the turn of the last century. We highly recommend these stories to girls of all ages.
