100 Maitake Mushroom Spawn Plugs to Grow Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms at Home or commercially.

My order arrived on as expected and these plugs are thoroughly inoculated. I am very happy with the bountiful appearance of these plugs. I am goingout to set them in my logs now. I am happy to inoculate the fruiting substrate with this product.

I never got any mushrooms to grow, but who knows, there are so many variables involved.

I ordered this product on 4/4/2024. I inoculated three pear tree stumps and I have mushrooms growing today (5/18/2024). I didn’t expect to see mushrooms for a full year, but it only took six weeks. How about that?

While the romance of growing our own mushrooms was compelling, the time and effort devoted to three trials which only produce a microscopic amount of fungi was definitely punitive. The rigorous methodology prescribed in the vendors required video is A) no bargain and B) no guarantee of success. Its back to Whole Foods for our maitake mushrooms (I guess Amazon wins either way - vending spore plugs that don't grow or selling mushrooms at Whole Foods).

Like to garden but never tried mushrooms before. Hen of the woods mushrooms grow wild on our nortern property, but only one. Wanted more. The pachage I received was securely wrapped to prevent drying. Instructions were clear easy to understand. Selected our logs and set the plugs. Made a neighbor happy bye giving her the dozen or so I had left. Anticipating next falls harvest.

Be sure and watch the how to video. Maitake mushrooms are a little harder to grow then many other types of mushrooms. Great product.

Came in great. Excited to see how this goes. Will expand if works well.
