I'm thinking not, as the one I put on is already worn out after less than 2 months. Looks like the original. The original one it came with didn't last long either though. The tail with the new scrubber was sucked up by the polaris once lately, and that's when I noticed the wear, but I'm not sure if that could damage it to that point, looking smaller and thinner, and about to tear in half. The price for 5 pack of these foam type scrubbers were about the same as one original tail scrubber that was a Polaris part at a local pool supply company. Even if these lasted, I don't think theses scrubbers, original or not, do anything of significance of removing algae, but we have a fiberglass pool. The jet of water from the tip of the tail, and removing the leaf bag for a few days, can remove algae from the sides and steps (in our pool) AFTER super chlorination. If a scrubber works for your pool, rigging a small sponge on the tail might even work better than a scrubber.
