Fits YJ mostly; effective heat barrier
This also fits a YJ just fine. I cut the curved ears off the piece where it meets in the back because it's not needed, but other than that, it fits just fine. I used a piece of the filler strips intended for a TJ and trimmed it to fit in between the two thick 1" pieces, just so there wasn't a blank spot above the speaker sound bar.I can't comment on how well it dampens sound because the jeep originally came with a soft top. I ripped all of that off and put an old used hardtop on that I refurbished. My main objective with the headliner was to reduce any radiant heat that would come off the top, even though I painted it light gray. I really don't know why anyone would want a soft top anything, especially in the south where we get 100+ temps for over 3 months.Anyways, it works well with keeping the radiant heat off my head and it feels like the ac is more effective. I'm sure it's deadening the sound too, but I wouldn't know. The soft tops are loud and flop around all the time and it's now much quieter with the hard top on.

Price seems high, but it works great.
I was hesitant to spend this much on some pre-cut foam, but after reading the reviews, I decided it was probably worth itIt was! These are precision cut, and fit great. They make a huge difference on the heat radiating from the top, and they help a lot with noise too.Let's be honest, nothing is going to make a Jeep JLU quiet inside like any normal SUV, but these definitely help.(I have a Yukon XL Denali, and the first two times my wife rode in the new Jeep, she asked if all the doors and windows were closed... (They were, LOL))Do take the top off and set it upside down on a blanket to make installation easy. Test fit each piece before removing the backing paper so you know where to place it for real. Once it is stuck down, it is NOT moving again! (This is reassuring that it will not fall on my head some day...)

Great addition
1. Immediately notice a significant noise reduction. Very pleased.2. Improved thermal insulation in the roof panels made a large difference in the internal cabin temp when the jeep sits in the sun. Important in Texas.3. Installation: The panels fit perfectly but you have to be careful not to stretch them while installing them.Hope the adhesive on the panels lasts.

2nd time is the charm!
The first order received was for the JL, not the JK. But they promptly sent the replacement order and it was for my 2017 Wrangler JK Sahara, 4-door. This has been my “fun” second car since June 2023 but will be my primary vehicle for the next 6+ months so I’m trying to make it more comfortable and functional. We installed the first row and third row easily, but I enlisted my husband for the second row so he could lift off the roof and create space between the roll bar/speaker bar. Without lifting the roof, there’s not enough space to safely slide the panel in and not risk ruining the panel. So far so good, the panels have been installed for 24 hours. Time will tell if the adhesive will stick in this North Carolina summer heat. No matter what, I will still keep the panels and just use additional adhesive to make them stay. I did give 4 stars due to the initial delivery issues and because one of the panels was damaged in two spots. One corner was slightly torn and the other had no adhesive left, but it didn’t really matter because it can’t be seen, it’s just worth noting because they were not in new condition.Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. It has definitely upgraded the interior look and feel of my vehicle. The roof is no longer burning my hand to the touch and I can already tell it’s quieter. Very excited about this. I will follow-up at a later date on this purchase. #happyjeepgirl

What a difference! Absolutely worth it!!!
I was on the fence buying these. I'm new to the world of Jeep, but was shocked at how hot my freedom roof panels got in the SoCal sun, even with the air cranked, I could feel it radiating down on me and they were always too hot to touch during the day. ...I figured it was worth it.I started doing my usual research, reading reviews, etc, and found that the Hot Heads panels had a lot of detractors regarding their effectiveness and/or ability to stay adhered to the roof. These had the overall best reviews, and the price was much more reasonable.I fully removed my roof so I could really clean them well (degreaser, then soapy water, then rubbing them down with a clean cloth and isopropyl alcohol). For install, I'd caution that these can "stretch" if you aren't careful while peeling off the back while placing them down, so be careful to lay them out exactly where you want them, then start peeling from one corner and DON'T pull on them while laying them down. ...if you prepped the surface liek I did, they will NOT come up to reposition. Once stuck, they are STUCK!...but that's a good thing. They aren't going anywhere! Now for to best news, WOW, what a difference!!!I never feel heat radiating down anymore. Even when it's over 100 degrees out, these prevent that heat from cooking my cabin. My AC can now cool the Jeep pretty quickly, and I can turn it way down, once cool, and maintain a comfortable temperature. For folks looking at them for acoustic properties, I'm not sure they make a huge difference, but they certainly won't hurt. For me the goal was heat prevention, and man do they deliver!!!Worth. Every. Penny.
