oil works great. use this on our Grandfather clock and just about anything that needs a light oil.

Clock started working accurately after oiling. I had been looking for a suitable oil for years. Clock is 41 years old!

Cheap clock oil
Bought it to use mostly on mainsprings, not to waste expensive oil on those. Seems to work. Not sure about using it on the mechanism itself if you care about it.

Super lube
Good while, I use it on many more items than my grandfather clock. Excellent for lubricating ignition locks and just about anything where you need a fine needle point applicator for maintaining any mechanical items you have. Not sure if you're supposed to do this but I also add a small amount of graphite into this product and it makes it very well. It's probably one of the best lubricants I have used.
