⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Elvie double wearable breast pump is a total game changer! Being completely hands-free makes it so much easier to multitask, especially with a busy schedule. It’s super quiet and discreet—you can wear it in your bra and no one even notices. The app connection is really helpful for tracking sessions and milk output, and the design feels modern and easy to use. Cleaning isn’t complicated, and everything feels high quality. Definitely worth the investment for convenience and freedom!

Game changer
Game changing. Hands free - can use this while working (even on a video call), while walking around the house doing chores, or while driving. I don't know how someone could effectively pump while working without something like this. I pump 3-4 times from 8-5 and then again at night before bed. Easy to disassemble and clean in between sessions, charge lasts for 3-4 20m sessions no problem. Occasionally I have a problem getting it to latch on. I always monitor the app for the first few minutes to be sure - sometimes it feels like it's working, but it's not. But generally I don't have any problem and pump anywhere from 2-11 oz in one session, depending on the time of day. Only other thing I'd call out is that your can't do a ton of bending over with these on because the sensor will think the bottle is full and stop pumping. And I find it awkward to try and carry my baby around with these things suctioned to my breasts - but I'm pretty much only pumping when I'm not caring for the baby, so that hasn't been a problem for me.

Thought I'd love it, very disappointed.
Let me say I am VERY disappointed in this product. I have tried on multiple occasions to keep using this product as well as seek support. It seems like there is always an issue. Aside from medical factors this pump leaks, has inconsistent suction, and randomly powers off (not pause, it turns entirely off). The only thing consistent about these pumps is the amount of issues it's causing. Over the last month postpartum, I have probably spent too much time stressing about this product. Medically these pumps have caused so much pain and trauma to my nipples. After consulting with a lactation specialist, I was sized to the correct flange and STILL had pain. I went as far as seeing the doctor because blisters formed on my nipples, which ended up also causing thrush! Constantly having open sores from these pumps have led both the doctor and lactation consultant advising me to stop the use! Ridiculous that I'm out hundreds of dollars on these pumps and all the accessories I've invested in to try to make these work for me. This product is promoted as pumping anytime/anywhere, silent, wearable, hassle-free, smart, and responsive. It's really unfortunate that I can find a problem with each of these categories…. How can I pump anytime/anywhere when I have been advised by support to sit still, in an upright position many times? To avoid leaking this is what I was told to fix the issue. NEWSFLASH this item STILL leaks when I do this! Besides the point, the #1 reason to buy this pump is the ability to be portable. When you barely have enough supply for your baby, it's very discouraging and disappointing to have it leak all over. Support also advised me to check all corresponding parts, which I have, and we found no issues there. Just told to sit still…. Which doesn't even fix the issue. What a joke. Makes me wonder how much milk I'm really missing out on, how much my baby is missing out on? What if these didn't leak, could I no longer need to supplement with formula? Really sad I have to stress about this! A silent pump would be great. I have addressed this issue with support as well. Squeezing and a thumping sound (not how it typically should sound) takes place. While they have replaced the pump before, this issue continually arises! Not only that, but I notice every time it occurs, the pain is even worse! Again, pain which has caused blisters and damage to my nipples leading medical professionals to advise me to stop using the product. Sure, the product is wearable, BUT why would I want to wear this anywhere when all it does is leak? As mentioned above, I've been advised by support to sit still when using. Either way, the product still leaks! So as far as being wearable, I'll pass since I soak through my bra and shirt anyway! Hassle-free is a JOKE! While there are only 5 parts to clean, the hassle comes from all the issues which no one can seem to resolve. Continuously saying the same tips (which haven't worked!) and sending new hubs is not fixing these issues that keep occuring. These hubs are a complete hassle and very stressful for a new mom trying to feed her baby. The smart component would be great if the app didn't glitch every so often, but more importantly if the hub would correctly track pumping. Continuously being told the bottle is full and the hub pausing makes pumping longer and more stressful. Even when the bottle is less than half full I run into this issue. Sometimes instead of pausing, the whole pump powers off! Unacceptable! How can I control the pump remotely if it turns off? In addition to this they are constantly losing connection with the app! What a HASSLE. Responsiveness is nice when it switches modes, but again, the bottle full detection is far off! To say the least, I am disappointed, stressed, furious, and unsatisfied. With multiple attempts at searching for help from Elvie customer service with no success and being advised by doctors to stop my use of this product before I cause permanent damage, I find myself out of hundreds of dollars. I have tried many times to make these pumps work, truly. How can I return these and get my money back? I am over the pain and stress. I would simply like to feed my child without pain, discomfort, stress, or permanent damage.

Do yourself a favor and buy this!
Update: I had some issues with my first pump but was able to easily replace through Amazon. My current pump had some leaking issues and I reached out to the Elvie customer service and they're sending me a replacement bottle. Couple things to note, as other reviews have mentioned: The app is terrible. Really terrible. Measurements are incorrect, it's glitchy, doesn't save some sessions. I've learned you can't turn the hub off until you actively "save" your session otherwise it freaks out...even turning one hub off makes it do this. Measurements are typically off, but you are able to edit the amounts before you save the session, so you can get an accurate track of how much you've pumped. Random dates added to history- this one is where the glitchy part comes in. You go to view your history and then see dates like September 4,1953 on there. The app randomly adds dates. It pauses when you've pumped around 4oz, even though the max for the bottle is 5oz. Removed a star for all the listed things above I can't say enough about this pump. After 2 days of using my insurance provided pump, I said F this and pulled the trigger to buy the Elvie. The best decision I have made. I'm no longer a slave to my pump. I can do tasks, walk around and am free from sitting on the couch due to pumping. Now let's get one thing straight, you can't do gymnastics with these things. So the people complaining about leaks from movement, c'mon. Let's use our brains, it's still a pump and it's still liquids we are talking about here. I'm careful with my movements and bending down and have never had a problem with leaks. It does take some time to get used to latching it on correctly, but once you do, it's a quick snap and you're on with your day. It is pricey, but worth every single penny, especially since you can use FSA.

Learning curve but totally worth every dollar and minute spent
This product was a HUGE game changer for my family and I cannot recommend it enough. I needed to pump in order to give myself more flexibility and freedom without having to give my son formula if it wasn’t necessary. I pump when I’m driving, blow drying my hair, making dinner. Seriously amazing. There was, however, a learning curve to this. It took me 5 sessions of pumping, reading the guides provided on the app, and adjusting/readjusting to get the suction latched on just right to where I was actually producing a lot. My advice: read the directions thoroughly! Suction is everything and if you don’t fit it super tightly in your bra, you’re not going to get NEARLY as much milk. I had them loosely in my bra and the suction on the flange wasn’t completely sealed all around my breast and I produced a 1/2 oz from both breasts combined… once I kept at it and figured out the suction and which flange would fit my nipple best, I produced 3 oz between both breasts in half the time! While you can def accomplish a lot of chores and things while pumping, don’t do things that cause you to lean over or have to be bounced around a lot because the suction with release and you’ll be pumping very little if nothing out. Next, create a solid routine/system for how you’re going to clean, dry and store your pump and it’s pieces. I have an amazing pump backpack that came with the pump my insurance provided me and I converted it to have everything I need for this pump so it’s incredibly easy to bring with me. I feel like a human woman again with this pump because you don’t have tubes going everywhere and your nipple exposed. I hating pumping, I was embarrassed and it took SO much time out of my day. Granted, you still need to clean all the parts but you gain back so much time because you can do things! Another thing I absolutely love is that for me, this pump helps to stimulate my breasts to produce more milk. You can literally wear these for an hour each day and get so much milk and it’s perfect because it increases your production overall which is something I needed because my son wasn’t getting enough milk at the breast and we had to start supplementing with 4oz of formula a day - which none of us enjoyed. I’ve only been using this a few days (though I’ve used it like 7 times already haha!) so I’ll try to update as time goes on to be sure this product still stays as top notch as I currently think it is. I hope this helps any lactating mammas out there to know that this is expensive but absolutely worth the time you gain back from it if you can afford it!

Not good as a primary pump
There a quite a few pros AND cons to this pump. Overall, I would say it's worth having on hand (if you can afford it) but it did not live up to the hype and I made the mistake of making it my primary pump which did some damage. It's upsetting that a secondary or back up pump costs almost 3 times as much as a primary pump. Pros: 1. The obvious is that is cordless/portable. This in itself makes it worth having on hand. For me personally, my baby would not allow me enough time to pump without having to entertain him or pick him up at some point. My corded pump was not realistic for this reason. So the Elvie really allowed me to continue my breastfeeding/pumping journey. I don’t know that I would have been able to pump during the day without it. 2. Its also very convenient being able to take it on the go. I don’t know how much I would wear it in public because it is not entirely silent and your boobs look comically huge with the pumps on. However, being able to pump in the car or while hanging out with friends and family was always a nice option. Cons: 1. It slowed down my production drastically. I felt like the suction power was good so I still can't figure out why this happened but once I started pumping full time with it my production went down and I would need to pump for 30-40 minutes at a time. Milk was coming out very slowly. I felt that the effectiveness of the pump got worse over time. For example, after pumping for 30 minutes i will have 2 ounces of milk. I will then hand express another full ounce. That’s 50% of what i pumped being left in the boob and after 30-40 minutes of pumping. I LOVED them when i first started. Maybe this is because over time my nipples got more elastic ruining my production. After having them for almost 3 months now i am buying the spectra to replace this. More money :| 2. The instructions emphasize that ALL parts need to be perfectly dry in order for the pumps to work properly. Well the membranes (green discs) that are a main component in the suction process end up getting moisture/milk on them during my pumping session. It happens every session and I don’t know how to prevent this. 3. I also feel like it made my nipples elastic. I had never had this issue before but after trying to go back to my regular corded Ameda pump, my nipples would extend so far into the flange which also caused output issues for that pump. This was not the case before using the Elvie and made it to where i can't really use my Ameda pump anymore because the output is so bad due to the elasticity of my nipples. 4. It damaged my nipples pretty significantly. The chaffing was SO bad that my nipples were always raw and missing layers of skin. I tried all 3 flange sizes available to see if that would help (had to purchase the 21mm separately). I also tried 3 different flange inserts/cushions to help ease the pain. The BeauGen cushions worked the best but still did not prevent pain. They are also an extra $25 a pair and only last maybe 2 months. Small, but annoying thing when paying the price you pay for a product like this, is that the OZ labeling on the containers is incorrect. 1oz in an Elvie container is not actually 1 US oz. So if you are trying to accurately track production (as an under producer already, it matters to me) you have to pour your milk into another, more accurate, container to see how much you actually pumped. Also, this negates the validity of the app "insights" because it will say you've pumped 5oz's when in reality you pumped say 3oz's.

Life Saver
Here’s the thing. I struggled so much to purchase these pumps that I was beginning to believe it was a sign not to invest. BUT I am so glad I did. My cards were not going through with the purchases and luckily their customer service was able to help me out with my issue within less than 24 hours. The pumps themselves are pretty to look and easy to set up. The quality of the pumps is high I was impressed with the hard plastic material (I don’t know what I was expecting honestly, but there is that). Within 16 days of the package arriving I have been able to produce close to 2oz each pumping session after I had lost most of my milk supply. I pump after every time my baby feeds and anytime I go out and do errands to catch up to my babies feeding needs. (Please keep in mind I am also taking lactation supplements) The two things I don’t like about these are the following: -Left pump leaks if I bends forward. Which wouldn’t be an issue since it’s kinda common sense, BUT my right pump doesn’t leak at all. While they both seem to pause if I lean forward for too long, my left pump is the only one that leaks. Which brings a lot of uncomfortably when I’m trying to play or change my baby’s diaper because I’m constantly worrying if I will leak. -Pumps tend to get hot. I don’t know if this is an intentional feature or if it’s inevitable with machines being at work. Other than that, these pumps have been a life saver for me. I had an emergency c section and I wasn’t able to breastfeed my baby since my incision was too fresh to withstand his little weight. It broke my heart and as much as I tried to overcome my incision pain, I eventually had to stop trying to breastfeed. I did try to pump, but I would constantly find myself missing those first days with my baby while I was stuck holding the pumps with my hands. My mother and husband were the ones mainly taking care of baby while I was in bed rest. I lost encouragement and chose to see my baby grow out of his newborn phase. Here I am, my baby is almost 2 months and I’m regaining my milk supply with these pumps. I never thought I would dry up so quickly within just a few weeks of not pumping. These pumps have given me another opportunity at breastfeeding and milk supply. Would definitely recommend to all mothers out there. P.S. The pause/play buttons are light up so if not covered by your bra it looks like you are iron man biotic breast version! It’s funny in my opinion lol but can easily be covered up by your bra or a little cloth.

Great pump! Love the freedom to move around!
This is a great breast pump! I started the medela pump in style advanced, which is a great pump, but I couldn't stand being tied down to the external pump. My little one doesn't nurse well, so I'm pumping a lot. The Elvie allows me to do things around the house while I pump. I find the suction as good as the medela. As others have stated, the app is very wonky. It loses connection to the pump often, even if I'm standing right by my phone, and it often has the volume estimate wrong. But, you can save your pump settings, and you can edit the milk volume after each pumping session, so for me, it's a nice log of when/how much I pumped. Cleaning the parts is no more time consuming than cleaning the medela parts. It is very quiet (sometimes my husband doesn't even hear it running), and fits easily in m bra, however, it is quite obvious when I'm wearing it as it at least doubles my breast size. Overall, I highly recommend it, esp if you are someone who doesn't like/have the time to sit still and pump with a traditional pump. Update: I still love this product! I've been using it for about 2 months now, several times a day. I recently had noticed that the suction was diminishing, so I just replaced the rubber pump seals and it made all the difference. I had read somewhere to replace elements like valves/membranes every month.

It is actually worth the money...
I hate to admit it, but this has been worth every penny!!!! It does exactly what it says it will. A Primark girl at heart I originally bought a cheaper version. And it worked okay for a couple of months, but it would leak easily and the battery went downhill quickly. I bought this in sheer desperation as my milk supply can be all over the place and I really wanted to get time to pump hands free, and it just works! It is neat. It is actually quiet. Not silent, but I doubt anyone would hear it unless you were in a library and talking to someone two foot away from you. The way the bottle inserts to collect milk means it doesn't leak (you will get a couple of drops when you take it off) unlike the cheap version that leaked about 2ozs down me! Easy to clean, easy to charge. Granted I feel like Pammy when I have them both in, and no you can't go for a jog in them, but you can potter around the house and run (upright) errands in them. Its great overnight to feed off one side and pump the other and my little one is oblivious to it. So yes I'm sorry to say it isn't cheap, but it is exactly what you were looking for!!

Worth the $$
Expensive breast pump BUT worth the $ IMO. It’s super quiet, easy to use, gentle, easy to clean and looks great. Comes with extras as well. Has kept me breastfeeding, keeping on top of my mastitis and not spending $$ on formula.
