They have a bit of padding under the foot which make these shoes very comfortable. The only “problem” is that I can hear a little “air” release when I walk. I would say a squeak but that wouldn’t be an accurate description. I could hear it walking on carpet in a quiet room when I tried them on but could not when walking on a harder surface with ambient noise. Definitely NOT a deal breaker for me. The “platform” under the toes helps to balance out the height of the heel. Again, super comfortable. I ordered a size 7 and these shoes are true to size. As other reviews have stated, my foot does slide down (slightly) and I am concerned that the more I wear these, the shoe may stretch but nothing an insert couldn’t fix. Only because of the heel height, which is SUPER CUTE, but your foot does slide down in them. I think an 8 would have held me in a little tighter, but I love these heels. I’m going to add a grip to the foot pad area, to see if that will help with the sliding a little, but I’ve been wearing them as is, and love them. I am a size 9-9.5 in shoes so went with a 10. They were way too big. There was also too much room around my feet were the leather should mold nicely. But the shoes are light and well made and exactly how it was described. I will be returning and ordering a size 9. Excited to get a pair that fit. Edit * I received the size 9 and could of even gone with a size 8! The leather around my foot is still much too big. Easy to walk in though but would like a more snug feeling around the top of my foot.
