This kit is super! It comes with 3 pots to paint and plant. I was only expecting one, so bonus for us! The kids are going to love opening this up and planting! The kit comes with everything but the sun and water. I totally recommend!

My kids loved this! It was a great little homeschool lesson on plants while also letting them be creative. We can’t wait to watch our stuff grow. Would also make a great gift if you were looking for something other than toys.

As an art teacher, I'm always looking for fun projects to do with my girls, who are 5 and 6. I got this cool paint and plant kit. First off, the kit was very organized and everything was easy to use. It is easy to sketch on the pot with pencils. The paint is a good quality for the little sampler jar paints, but you still need 2-3 coats to get solid coverage. Because the melamine is not porous, the paint would scratch away after drying if not handled correctly. The greenhouse lids are great to help keep the moisture in.I do not have a window that is exposed to direct sunlight, which is why I think our plants took longer to sprout. We planted the seeds on 11/17. The wheat grass sprouted on 12/2, the cosmos sprouted on 12/6, and we are still waiting on the marigold to sprout (should be any day now).Overall, this is a great project for kids, and I highly recommend it! My girls enjoy making observations of the changes in the plants and drawing their findings.

My 5 year old was excited to do this craft. We do a lot of art and gardening separately, so I didn’t think this would be such a hit, but it was! She was able to open the box and do the craft herself with minimal help. Everything she needed was included and the packaging was easy to open (though she did ask me to open the paint pots.) I appreciated that there were 3 paint sets so this could easily be set up for siblings/friends to do together. The paint was easy to work with and will hold up as long as needed for a child’s craft, I don’t expect it to last forever - I liked the tip to remove it with acetone to paint again. We’ve planted our seeds just this week and are waiting for them to sprout. The addition of the greenhouse lids makes this process foolproof. I also liked that the packaging was done so well that it could be gifted easily.

The box came with everything they needed for the project, including a full set of paints for each pot, which made it so no one had to fight over paint!The paint went on and dried easily, and we were able to clean off one pot for a do-over for my 4 year old. We set the pots out to dry in the sun and filled them up with dirt and seeds. It was easy enough for my kids to do all of this themselves, so they were really proud of their work! The pots come with little greenhouse lids for germinating the seeds, and once the shoots start coming up, you can remove them.Such a great project that kept my kids occupied and kept them coming back to check daily progress on their plants. This would make a great gift as well, so I might get a few more to gift to my nephews!

I really feel like this would be a great gift for boys or girls, child or adult. It is all very easy to figure out and allows a lot of creativity. There are plenty of ways to make this your own and decorate how you like it. The colors are vibrant and easy to use as well. This makes both a good creative art project and a growing experiment to see how your seeds do in their growth. I love this company and have other products of theirs and would buy again for sure.
