Heavier than expected
Definitely will do the job but a little bit unwieldy.

Excellent saw and value
This saw is an excellent edition to my workshop. After reading reviews about its lack of power, I was a little concerned. However, I went on and purchased it and I was pleasantly surprised. It is more than powerful for my needs. I have already used it several times on 2x4's, 1x6's and plywood for my projects and it works very well and gets the job done. However, if you need a saw for heaavier applications, I suggest you purchase a more power and larger saw like a 15 amp 7 1/4 inch circular saw because this Worx saw is not designed for heavy applications.
