Shortly after submitting the order to Amazon, I started regretting my decision, for I didn't know if there were plastic components in this expensive piece and for a handshower holder and union, it IS expensive, even if it were all metal. I tried to cancel it but it was too late. So I ordered an all metal piece made by Artois and planned to return the Grohe piece.The Grohe piece arrived today. The escutcheon, made of metal, is stunning. The union and the holder are made of plastic. They still look stunning. Now I have to wait till the much cheaper Artois piece arrives to decide whether to spend $400 (this Grohe piece + Grohe handshower rough in) or the $40 Artois piece.
