When I saw that they had released Rhodiola, I looked up the potential benefits of it and decided to give it a try. Rhodiola is an adaptogen and can have the effect of relieving stress, fatigue, depression, and help improve brain function, general performance, managing diabetes, etc. I certainly could use something to reduce stress and relieve some fatigue, so I thought it worth a try.The Pure Mountain Botanicals Rhodiola seems to be of high quality. It has a nice herbal aroma to it and comes in an old school glass bottle (not like all of the plastic bottles every one uses today. The bottle was in a bubble rap style bag and then placed in a box. Being glass, I thought it was well packaged. The pills are what I would consider slightly smaller than average and are easy to swallow.While I have never tried Rhodiola before this, I did find it to help me relax and unwind throughout the day. I typically took it in the late morning with my lunch and would think that I didn’t feel as wound up, stressed, or fatigued from a long day’s work as I normally would have. I normally take Holy Basil, which also relaxes me and helps me sleep better, so I stopped taking that while I took this to see what the difference was. I would say that this has similar relaxing effects as the Holy Basil, but without the ability to help me sleep better and without making me sometimes feel tired (which is why I take Holy Basil with dinner and not early in the day).I have come to like Pure Mountain Botanicals products and think that the quality of their ingredients and overall products are good. I don’t think I would hesitate to try any supplement that they release as I truest that they would release a good quality product at a fair price. This is a great version of this supplement in that it comes with the correct dosage, not too much, but not too little to be effective. According to the standardized guidelines this supplement can be taken for acute, short-term treatment for fatigue, mild feelings of depression, and stress symptoms at 250-680mg daily. The overall effectiveness of higher dosages seems to decrease after 4-6 weeks.I find that 250mg is the correct amount for me and any more than that makes me feel like a very happy idiot. High doses impair my reasoning and math skills, which I need to do my job. If you find yourself struggling to think clearly or experiencing dizziness this may not be for you, possibly you just need to reduce your dose.
