As for the mags, it’s meant for Ar 15 mags but you can always attach pouches to the outside to accommodate your mag size or mission dictated need **Q: Does this tactical assault panel come with all of the necessary straps and connectors in order to actually use it as a stand alone chest rig?** A: It came with the adapters to hook straight to my iotv or any plate carrier also comes with the y harness to use it as a stand-alone rig ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars U.S. Army issue item. *by T***1 on Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2022* There are other products out there that may be somewhat more user friendly, but this one has the benefit of being genuine U.S. Army issue - also includes associated hardware/straps for mounting to body armor or plate carrier.For those not familiar with the standard issue tactical assault panel, they have some pluses and minuses. It's very durable and can take a beating, and has plenty of integral magazine pockets built in. There's also three mesh pockets on the inside with Velcro / zipper closures. Personally, I'm not a fan of the magazine retention straps; though they're sturdy and work reasonably well, they can get in the way when using the pockets for other items and aren't removable.Additionally, the shoulder/waist strap sucks. It's a bit narrow without padding and doesn't have any mounting/attachment points. Also, it's pretty difficult to get a decent fit. Non-issue rigs are usually better in that respect.
