Crunchy and delicious

Delicious and great snack!

Because I like wasabi beans, I ordered and received a 5lb package, but the spicy taste of wasabi was so strong that I couldn't eat it. It's so spicy on the tongue that it's hard to chew, and it's so spicy that it makes you keep sneezing. If I, who usually enjoy eating wasabi, found it this spicy and found it difficult to eat, it would be very, very difficult for the average person to eat it. I don't understand why they made it so spicy that it's hard to eat.

Finding gluten free wasabi peas is no easy task, but one I've had to take on since finding out I have food allergies. These taste great, nice and hot without being overwhelming, and are worthy of being bought in big quantities if you also live Wasabi peas. Big thumbs up!

After going through a bag of wasabi pea trail mix purchased from the grocery store, and being disappointed at that lack of wasaba peas in the mix, I headed to Amazon.com in search of some wasabi peas. I received these in the mail today, poured myself a cup, and devoured them fairly quickly. These wasabi peas taste so fresh and they are SO crispy (not like the ones in the trail mix). The CRUNCH is my favorite part. These are not quite as spicy as I had anticipated, but they're so delicious and crunchy I don't mind. I like savory snacks over sweets, and this certainly fulfills my craving for 'hot chips' or whatever I'd typically walk away from. Wasabi peas make a great snack (or addition to trail mix). Wasabi peas are low calorie and provide some health benefits (as opposed to none with the 'hot chip' competition) such as antimicrobial properties as well as boosting digestion. Not sure if I will buy again from this brand as they are not quite spicy enough for me, but the flavor and crunch almost makes up for it.

I am a huge fan of wasabi peas. The first time I purchased these, the taste was awesome, a very nice wasabi taste and heat. That prompted me to purchase them again. They are much much sweeter with NO wasabi taste and ZERO "heat.". I can understand a little variation from bag to bag, but this difference is so large that I have to leave a 1 star rating. I was able to contact the company via the email on their website, as I was unable to contact them via Amazon. They responded fairly promptly and offered me either replacement or refund. Kudos to their customer service.

Other brands on Amazon and in stores have too much salt and/or have a burnt taste, these do not. They have a great roasted flavor without being burnt. They have a touch of salt, just enough. There is far too much salt in the average Americans' diet. As I'm approaching middle-age, I've been trying to cut the salt significantly. I'm very glad I found these. They are not as bland as you would expect, given the low salt content, there's a nice roasted soy nut flavor. They combine well with other nuts and legumes too, such as roasted almonds and chickpeas. Great taste at a fantastic price, I highly recommend these.
