some good some bad + UPDATE
First roll was amazing I made many prints I was proud of. They looked professional. Second roll I can't make a single print to the end. I have even reloaded file I previously printed and they are horrible. the material strings and is brittle. I measured the diameter and it is all over the place. I can't speak for the first roll because it was great so I didn't measure. During the first roll I was so impressed I ordered a spool of black. I measured it as well and it is all over the place. from .17 to .18 within an inch. NOT IMPRESSED. Of course this all happened towards the end of a long print. Very unhappy. I feel roll 2 cost me money. Roll 1 was awesome so good luck.Update...2-1-2021I have learned alot. I have inspected the rolls more carefully when I receive them. Amazon Basics has actually became my favorite GO TO filament. They have arrived pretty darn consistent. The others must have been a fluke. I print on an Anet ET4 with a temp of 210C and Bed 55C and WOW. I know longer worry about the filament. I have uprated my stars. Go FOR IT!!!

Finicky filament will force you to find the fitting flow for fantastic effect
While I'm early in my 3D printing experience, this is the second filament--and brand--that I purchased, which provided me with some interesting experiences. First, the sample of filament as well as the first spool of Overture filament I purchased for my Ender 3 Pro printed wonderfully at 200/60C. However, this Amazon Basics filament was causing my extruder to continually make a loud knocking sound while producing some noticeably sub-standard results. Bumping up the temperature to 220/60C greatly reduced the intensity & frequency of the extruder kickback but didn't resolve them entirely. And my output when using the Amazon filament became a coinflip as to whether it would complete or not. The final improvement that ceased the knocking & has been steadily delivering awesome prints was when I adjusted the extruder & updated the flow value for my slicer (Cura 4.6.1). (Here is the video where I learned about measuring the extruder & adjusting the flow value: https://youtu.be/xzQjtWhg9VE). I really like the bright neon orange color which as you can see in the included picture has some translucency to it as you can make out the infill pattern. While I had some frustrations with this filament at first, it provided me with a great learning experience without dissuading me from the enjoyment of 3D printing.

Good quality, consistent and clean
Update: I've been through several more rolls of Amazon PLA and revising my ratings a bit. Black is 5 stars -- I like it a lot. Filament is consistent, clean, no bubbles or thin spots. Prints easily and predictably and is very dimensionally accurate. Blue is 3 stars. Not so much because it is bad, but because it is not as good as Black, it is less dimensionally accurate (NOT recommended for precise fitting parts), it has a strong and unhealthy fumes (I never have issues printing PLA in my workroom but did with Blue), and you can get better PLA for this price. Red is 4 stars -- a bit better than Blue in all respects and does not carry the fumes. Grey I've only used one roll but appears very similar to Black. I tend to use other PLAs nowadays because there are several vendors with high quality and a lower price. But I will continue to buy the Black/Grey 3kg rolls when the price is favorable as I like it a lot. After testing many of the generic PLAs I'm a fan of Amazon. I suspect this PLA has higher oil (or whatever they add) than most. Has very consistent quality and produces nicely detailed prints with less lining and graining. However, stringing is a result and should be accounted for. Easily addressed with a flow control calibration and a slight bump in retraction. Overall, very easy and consistent to work with once dialed in. One consideration: the rolls are wider than standard and will not fit in Bambu AMS.

Great filament - Prints like Tough PLA or PLA+
This filament is made in the USA. It prints hotter than other PLA. I am using it on a BIQU B1 printer. My printer has a PEI bed, and this stuff will not stick if the bed temperature is below 65C. I will print almost perfectly when the printer settings are dialed in.Settings: .6mm nozzle- 30mm/s travel, 226C Hot End Temp, 65C Bed Temp, 10mm retraction, cooling 100%.

Done trying new filaments
I've heard that not all filaments are created equal and I have tried sever different brands and each has had its own issues, after buying this Amazon basics dark blue pla filament, I'm done wasting my money on seeing if anything is better than hatchbox. This amazon filament has trouble adhering to the print bed (ender3 flexible magnetic bed) and seems to always be overextruding leaving blobs and really misplaced thick strings on the prints. I tried my trusty temperature tower that I've used to get calibrated on other filaments, and this one was having trouble bridging at 190°C, which is the lowest I ever run pla because most other filaments stop extruding a few degrees colter than that. Now I know I could play around with it and try to dial in all my temps and adjust all my settings to make this filament do what I need it to do, and then recalibrate everything everytime I get a different color out, but instead I will just stick with hatchbox from here on out. I believe this was my 7th brand to try, most others have been ok, techbears grey was brittle and the filament broke while extruding which was annoying, but I didn't know that brand, I thought I knew the Amazon brand. People do not buy consumables over again if they do not perform well, especially when it costs the exact same for the better product. I will not buy again. The plastic is very shiny though, I guess if that's something you're willing to fight with this product for then it's an option.I only leave bad reviews when I really feel slighted, I opened up the door hoping for find something as good or better than I had been using and only bought it because of the Amazon name on the product, I'm very disappointed it has cost me my time and my money and I have a long road of making this roll work for me, so this purchase is going to haunt me for quite a while, don't buy it, learn from my experience, and buy a different brand if you want consistency and good results.

Fuerte y aceptable
