This was a real luxury item for me. I splurged and ordered this after I got my gov. check. I always hated seeing the ugly container of margarine next to my stove, then also used it to keep the butter in. Just always looked so tacky in my great looking kitchen. Then the pandemic hit and I had trouble getting real butter and saw a YouTube video how to double your butter with a recipe they used back in the depression and WWII when butter was rationed. *** See below. Now I had a one pound butter product whipped up to a two pound capacity and where and HOW to store it??? That's when I ordered this and I must say I am sorry for wasting all those other years looking at ugly commercial containers. Mine is red to match my kitchen and it came with a coupon for a free butter spreader which they didn't advertise. Nice surpise! MUCH MUCH nicer to store my butter product in this heavy duty, air tight container. *** Watch the YouTube video: KNOX GELATIN WWII WHIPPED BUTTER and they will explain how to do double your butter using this step by step method. End product VERY GOOD, but add some artificial butter flavoring to REALLY kick it over the top!! I never waste using just a stick of butter now. I always double it, it is so simple and cheap, just remember to kick it up a notch!

The style fits my mid-century kitchen perfectly, and it also fits my extra wide sticks of real butter. Some complain that it doesn't have an airtight seal - I don't WANT it to seal. My butter will mold that way (I NEVER had butter mold until I used a sealed dish). I love that it's deep - no more unintentionally dropping butter off the edge.

The dish is fine enough. Sweese includes a promotional card in the package offering a free butter knife if you send them a Facebook message. Sent the FB message but was notified the account does not accept messages so I emailed customer support with proof of purchase and a request to claim my free butter knife - completely ignored and unresponsive. If you have no intention of honoring your promos, you shouldn’t offer them, Sweese.

We have had a recurring fight in our family about the cleanliness of the butter dish (kids get the butter everywhere!) So, we decided to look for a deep dish that won’t cause butter to get all over the outside edges. This butter dish is exactly what we needed! Holds 2 full standard sized sticks, which is perfect for entertaining. And, it’s very easy to clean. Thankful for something like this butter dish to make our mornings a little easier!

Beautiful butter dish! Stunning aqua/baby blue color. Solid, well made, good weight. Great size; fits two full sticks of butter and nestles nicely in the butter cubby in my fridge! Only two "buts..." Wish the lid was rimmed with a rubber seal/gasket to improve freshness and to stop the clattering/rattling of the lid on the base; AND really needs a handle. Increased risk of dropping the lid without a handle. Not deal breakers, BUT really good nice-to-haves.

Perfect size for the 8 oz Kerrygold sticks. The top doesn’t get buttery since it never touches the sides of the butter. Nice heavyweight ceramic.

I got this butter dish because I like to cook with Kerrygold butter, which is sold in a larger size than can fit in a standard butter dish. This butter dish is perfect for the size of butter I purchase, as well as fitting two sticks of any other butter you prefer. I enjoy the bright red color of the porcelain and am keeping my fingers crossed I don't damage the lid, since it fits pretty loosely onto the dish. Because of the generous size and depth of this butter dish, when I'm not using it for butter, I expect that it will make for a nice little serving dish for smaller side dishes. I'm always a little worried when buying porcelain or ceramic products online, but when this product arrived from Amazon, I was very impressed with how securely it was packaged. I wanted a way to store my Kerry gold butter outside for a couple hours instead of throwing it back in the fridge right away and this dish served the purpose perfectly, it helps keep the butter at a decent temperature. It’s a little larger than I expected but I’m sure that makes it a little easier to use the butter directly from the dish. The top has a couple imperfections but not enough to make me exchange it or reach out to the mfg about it. Overall it’s a clean white butter dish that I’d buy again.
