I have 2 Questions, first: would you think if you sprayed painted clear coat of paint on them. The color would last longer?

I do not know about the paint, however, I bought the Nativity set last year. 2 pieces became unsoldered within 1 month. I contact Amazon and they could not reach the vendor. I tried calling them many times with no answer. I also sent emails…NO RESPONSE. I will try to solder the pieces myself before I put it out. L O U S Y V E N D O R…..buyers beware.

One of the wise men is African American but I don’t recall there being any options.

Is this the 2023 version with the latest improvements?
