Function not Fashion
These act as a filler for our Lortone rock tumbler. It helps prevent chipping of the rocks. We don't reuse the beads so think of this as a disposable part of your rock tumbler. Whenever its time to go to the next finer grit then we use new beads because you can't clean the grit out of the beads. It might be possible to reuse these but then you have to separate them and keep track of the fineness of the grit you used along with each step in order to not scratch your rocks. We fill the rock tumbler halfway with the beads, water and rocks.

Watch out, loose in the box
This package arrived and my son anxiously roped open the box and surprise! The little balls are not in a bag inside the box, they are loose in the box. When my son ripped the box open they went everywhere.I had no idea how many little balls we would need to bring our 3 lb tumbler up to 3/4 full for pre polish. This little box was the perfect amount

Plastic beads for rock tumblers
These beads are to keep rocks In a tumbler from striking each other with full force while in a tumbler. They did what they were asked of them. Please note they are not in a plastic bag in the box, and opened without care, these beads may remind you of your mistake for years to come

Works as Advertised and Per DIrections
I like the beads. They have the additional benefit of making the tumbling even quieter.I've re-used my beads several times: you just have to be sure to use them with the same grit each time. The ones I use for the second step grit do get smaller, so I have to add more and replace them more often. For the third and fourth (pre-polish and polish) steps, they show very little wear.Separating them from the rocks is a snap. I use a kitchen strainer to rinse rocks and beads; dump the whole thing into a container and fill it with water; and then pour the beads back into the strainer as they float on the surface (unlike the rocks). I rinse them some some more, air dry them in the strainer, and return them to the ziploc bag marked for that stage. Easy peasy!

These work great for cushioning the rocks
These work great for cushioning the rocks, but the package is very small and not enough for even one load. I found the same beads at the fabric store (packaged as "Poly-fil stuffing beads" used to stuff beanbags, animals, etc) in a two pound bag for under $7. They're the exact same beads! Don't waste your money....

yes, beads
The beads were all there yes! But the package has been broken and so as soon as the paper-box packaging had been opened beads slowly spilled until the makeshift container had been reclosed. Product was otherwise perfect. Just be careful when opening.

These worked great, the only issue I had
These worked great, the only issue I had, they were a little bit to small when I drained them out into the strainer. I lost about 1/4 of them. Otherwise, they did the trick, the rocks look great.

VERY HELPFUL PRODUCT!!
I have an older rock tumbler and I could not use it all the time because I would need to go to a store about 25 miles away from my house and spend about $10.00 for each box of tumbling beads. Now I save so much money with gasoline and the actual product it's self because I can keep washing the beads and use them again. Great product if you have a rock tumbler!!
