Really nice upgrade to any non tsa lock pelican case
I've been using the Pelican Air Case Locking Latches with Keys (2 latches) on my Pelican Air Case for a year now, and I'm impressed with how easy they were to install and how well they've functioned. Simple Installation: Swapping out the standard latches for the locking ones was a breeze. Following the instructions, I used a hammer and a pin remover (tools I already had around the house) to remove the originals and pop these new ones in. The entire process took just a few minutes. Big thumbs up for DIY-friendly design! Added Security and Convenience: Peace of Mind: Having the locking latches provides peace of mind, especially when traveling or storing valuables in my Pelican Case. No More Padlocks: These latches eliminate the need for separate padlocks, streamlining the opening and closing process. Plus, you don't have to worry about losing a separate lock. Keys Included: The set comes with two keys, so you have a spare in case of a misplaced key. Durability After a Year: After a year of use, the latches continue to function smoothly. The locking mechanism feels secure, and the overall build quality seems sturdy.

They're legit- you can still add locks if you want to, but these work great. Check out my tip below!
I fly with a pair of Pelican Air cases about 50 times a year & due to the "lost" locks that TSA never refunds, I was spending anywhere from $200-$500 per year on locks (yes TSA approved locks). Since I've started using these, that's not an issue. You can still add a cable lock if you want to, just for insurance, but it's just a choice now. The action is nice & smooth- also a little easier to latch than the normal latches that come on these cases. Here's what I did- I bought 2 pairs of these & installed just one of them to each of my Pelicans. I figured that way, TSA would realize something was different before they break one off because they didn't notice the key hole on them. When it's just one of these latches on a case, they seem to notice...and it means your money will go twice as far.

No more cheap busted TSA locks
I don't know why I feel the need to have to lock my suitcase, but I do. Used to use TSA padlock, cable or regular, in the padlock holes of my pelican air case, 2 at a time. And every 2 to 4 flights, I pick up my case off the luggage carousel with one of them missing. Something about the way the case was moved with them exposed hanging off it, they'd break off. And then I saw these. Easy to install if you first realize that with the locks "locked", you can't drive the pin holding them to the case out. So, after some frustration I understood how to do it and it became easy. They've now been on about 20 flights with me so far and haven't had any issues. inserting and turning the key isn't the smoothest mechanism but so far it's reliable. While I'm sure with a large enough bar someone could pry them open, that same size bar would easily open any of the TSA locks I was using (which were also easily cut with bold cutters, these are not).

Quiet latch with less force needed
My air cases came with original style (protector) latches. Replaced two of them with this lockable latch, and others with this new style ones without locks. Old style ones make very loud click noise when you latch, but these are very quiet. Also, needs less force to latch too. It was hard for me to find proper TSA lock which can be used for holes near latch, and wire ones were broken by TSA twice. Now, I donโt have to worry about this neither. It seems expensive, but worth every single money. To remove original and install this new latch, it was bit hard. I used regular punch but it got bent. At the end, I used replacement pin and a hammer to bang them out.

Tbh I cannot figure out how to get the origionals off at all
because these are TSA locks they immediately get 1 star off because they're only security in the loosest sense. The other star is because I got a pelican and even though I've tried a heck of a lot of stuff I cannot for the life of me get the original locks off, so I dunno if I can really recommend these, but your mileage may vary

Great replacement latches for pelican case
This was not difficult to install but my pins were difficult to remove. This is a good thing as that meant the pins were not likely to shift or work its way out during use/transport. These work great and I no longer have to use tsa locks for my pelican case and it locks it where it cannot be opened.

,works well easy to install. now TSA canโt simply remove my locks and then forget to put them back on.

Work and Fit Just Like the Original Ones
I wanted a touch of extra protection without having to ALWAYS use padlocks. For that, I think these are the perfect touch. Installation is a slight pain since you have to feel and find out the alignment of the pins on your Pelican case but that's a Pelican problem and not a design flaw of these latches. Functionally, they work, fit and feel exactly like the originals. Locking and unlocking feel like any other TSA lock; a little janky but does what you need if you have the right expectations.
