secure feeling
I haven't had to use this yet thank God, but I have a secure feeling if I am caught on the turnpike in the winter, I will crawl into this and not freeze to death waiting for help. I always go prepared, hot water, tea bags, food, heavy clothing boots etc. and this is just one more way of staying safe. Its compact enough to fit anywhere.

Worth the money.
These things are worth there weight in gold. We get them from supply in my unit. So I bought some to put in the car. The construction of the blanket is heavy duty to a point. Its better than the regular silver emergency blankets and the size of it compressed is about equal to a coke can. It is also known if you get a whole just patch up with duck tape. You could easily use this more than once. So I just put it in the trunk with the spare tire. That way its always there if needed. It does come in a nice carry sack that is also decent made.

Great value for money, condensation is a problem
I bought mine July 1, 2013 and just retired this after seeing a few thin patches that were a little too thin, and being mindful of the ridiculously good price.First, a little about me: I'm 5'11-6'0", 220 lbs. I bought this after reading the numerous reviews that the others were... snug. My typical camping setup is normally a 1 person tent, where the airflow can be kept to a minimum, and an air mattress. I tend to sleep very warm.I've had great success with this as an alternative to a BLANKET. Rather than climb in to the bag, I've had incredible success using it as a two space blanket layer blanket. I get too much condensation when I try to sleep inside it. Sleeping underneath it keeps the condensation on the outside (flip it over, go back to sleep).I recently used this for the last time on the Oregon Outback, where temperatures dropped to 30ºF overnight, and I switched to a tube tent instead of a regular tent so there was more airflow. Inside it, I was pretty chilly, but did ok in pants, a shirt and a thin windbreaker. The Oregon Outback is a multi-day event, so I still had to get up every day and ride a stack of miles to get to the next location. If you're looking for something that would serve you well in an emergency situation, I won't promise that you'll sleep like a baby but coupled with something to shield you from the ground and the wind I would choose this again in a heartbeat.PS: Repacking is pretty straightforward unless it's windy. Half, half again, fold in to 3s and roll it tight... that will make it fit in to the bag it came in.

Works as expected
Pros:* The only of its kind.* Does keep warmth inside extremely well.* It's tiny.Cons:* Does not breathe at all: When sleeping in it, hot steam collects within. It's like being in a sauna. Feels good to air it every once in a while, even with freezing air.* Does not breathe at all: Can't keep face and head warm. I tried to submerge my head partly, within a partly open bag, and it kind of works. Not easy to sleep.* Very fragile. I unintentionally poked holes during my attempt to sleep in it. They help with the breathing problem though... Not sure if intentional tiny holes would make sense though.* Not cheap.Did I mention it's tiny, keeps warmth when needed, and is the only of it's kind? 5 stars!

Small, light, inexpensive...just in case!
Haven't used it yet so this review is based on the small size it takes up in my bug out bag. While I hope I never have to use it, it would be a mistake I think not to have it handy just in case. Small and light when folded, it could definitely be a lifesaver. Also handy for treating hypothermia victims.

Nice addition to our backpacking gear
Purchased this when hiking in the Colorado mountains on a 4-day backpacking adventure. While we didn't need to ever use it, it is nice knowing there is a last-resort plan if weather becomes concerning. Product is lightweight, which is a must.

Bug out necessity
The Sol two person bivvy is awesome. It comes packed in its own carry case, its really small and really light weight. Its made from better materials than the typical mylar emergency blankets making it reusable. That is a big plus in case your emergency lasts more than one night, or you have to be mobile for a that emergency. I have one in a bug out bag and plan on getting another to store in my car.
