TESA Brown & Sharpe 599-591-20 Telescoping Gauge Set, 6 Pieces

Great product for the money. Very useful tool in helping us make the parts we need for accuracy to relay measurements to machinist.

The box and bag this set comes in ooze all the quality, fit, and finish of a Harbor Freight product. What's honest about HF is they don't try to bamboozle you -- both seller and buyer know full well what is being transacted. This item OTOH bears the once lofty name of Brown and Sharpe but it's the same bottom-shelf item you can get from countless sellers on Amazon and elsewhere for 20 bucks. The spring action is stuttering (catches on at least two of the gauges) and the lock threads are pretty coarse. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, and I will NEVER buy Brown and Sharpe again. Great job guys, putting your name on trash. That MBA needs a fat bonus and the frightened sheep on your board of directors should agree.

Great Quality and affordable. wont buy cheap Harbor freight again. very happy with this item. Precision telescoping gages. Look good as well.

Work great and am able to repeat measurements without half a thou.

These were absolutely useless. Poor quality construction. I don't know what has happened to Brown & Sharpe for them to produce such a horrendous set of gages.They wouldn't slide smoothly, and even the slightest tightening of the knob locked them slides in place to the point where you couldn't get anything close to a correct reading. All 6 of them felt like they were caked with sand inside. Returned them immediately.

Not what they used to be used to be the best now worthless yes worthless never worked right from time I got them & broke in less then month with little use. They lost costomers for life I work in tool & die making & all my fellow worker had same conclusion.

Work purchased these through MSC, at my request we spent an extra $60.00 over the SPI set and $117.00 over the chinese made set. Complete waste of money. I see very little difference between these "american made" and other chinese sets I've seen in the past. Brown and Sharpe should be ASHAMED of themselves for for putting their name on this product. There is so much clearance in the slides that the 6" gage flops around .030" when fully extended. I understand this isn't the case when the gage is locked but I expect more from brown and sharpe. The slides move in a jerky jumpy and almost sandy manor the locking mechanism feels cheap and inconsistent the and fit and finish is barely worthy of a harbor freight set. I'm disappointed not only in this gage set but Brown and Sharpe as a whole. When I see the Brown and Sharpe name I think quality...this certainly is not.
