Where has it been all my life?
I purchased both the 2 inch and 4 inch version from the same company, 50 ft rolls even. Restoring an old RV that was caked in silicone and roof coating, basically they decided to band-aid a gushing wound. I wanted to do it right and take it down to the bare metal and start over from factory, mastic tape to the rescue! I used the 4 inch on the main roof seams after I scraped and sanded the silicone off and rubbed it down with acetone so it would be a nice clean surface for the E-SDS RV Roof Tape to stick to. Firstly; be smart about it, don't peel the entire plastic protector off before laying it down. There is that chance it will fold in on itself and you'll either waste a large chunk that sticks and you'll never get it apart again, or it falls on the surface and sticks with no chance of it coming up ever again. Great adhesive property! It moulds very well on corners and slight deviations in the surface. I look forward to seeing how well the UV resistance holds up; yet, at the same time I hope to never change it out again! I do plan on using a high quality roof coating over it to help promote weather-ability, and also to seal out any possible pin hole leaks from any portion that might not have laid perfectly flat. A good tip: Lay out the pre-measured strip over the area you will be sealing, put something slightly heavy on the tail end to keep it in place and lined up straight, or maybe a piece of masking tape. Start a small section peeled back on the plastic on the surface you wish to start on, line it up one more time and reach under the strip with two fingers to grab the protective plastic and pull directly back in the same direction as the unpeeled strip - keeping the plastic you are peeling off under the tape. This "should" keep you going in a straight line and help pull the tape to the surface you are sealing, while you use your free hand to press the tape down as you go.

Works Very Well, Even on Asphalt Sealers!! Didn't Come with the Roller Shown in the Listing
I bought this to seal the seams on my 1996 Jayco travel trailer. It has a membrane roof, and one, or more, of the previous owners had used common asphalt-based roofing sealant on it. Anyone that's used this sealant knows that it shrinks and cracks pretty quickly. I was concerned about how to remove all the old asphalt sealant and apply this tape, but found that it adheres very well to the asphalt sealer. ONE CAUTION!! This stuff stays where it's placed, so make sure when you put it down that you don't want to move it, because it won't move!! I dropped one star because the roller shown in the picture, which is needed to smooth out the tape, wasn't included with the tape.

Easy to use
This tape works beautifully for RV maintenance and repair. Once it is in place and sealed well with the roller, it will not move. Very pleased with this product.

These rolls are extremely weighty , no cheap product here .
These rolls weigh a ton. This is not a cheaply made product. I'd purchased mine for one purpose, however, I'd noticed a few folks about 14 blocks from me who are homeless (sort of). Most are living in broken down campers, so I've decided to wait until the weather turns to spring and am going to gift this to them as clearly they need it more than I do. For these folks, if their camper gets too broken down the city will take it and tow it away. These campers are some families home, shelter from the weather, a safe place to rest their heads. Now that I've seen how well this RV Roof Sealant Tape is made I may purchase a few more to use/gift for the same purpose. Here in Cali. with rents haven gone /still going, sky high, many families are living on a wing and a prayer. If you purchase this well made product and have any left over maybe you can gift it instead of letting it simply sit in your storage shed. Even if a small amount is all you have left when your project is finished remember, often a person may just have one very small leak but as we know it only takes one small leak to become a big problem. Be a blessing where you can.

Great product
We love this tape. It works great on our RV. Seals all the seams on the roof. A little difficult to use, if it gets stuck to it's self, IT WILL NOT TURN LOOSE. Easier to use if two people work on it. It depends on what you are using it on as to how easy it comes off. If you use it on vinyl it is really hard to get off. On the roof of the RV it can be repositioned for a short while. Will not stick to canvas on the sides of a pop up camper. As I said , we love it, just ordered our third roll.

This product is good if you are able to clean to the bone. If there is any old paint, etc., it doesn't stick so good. Probably excellent for new RVs but not so good for older rigs. I found it to stick but not like others who said they couldn't get it back off. While that was true mostly, I did manage to get it up to straighten it in places but that was before rolling. Make sure you save the material that is on both sides of the roll as the roll will stick to anything if you set it down. I am using it on a vintage aluminum roof and running it across to cover the seams. I dropped it over the side walls an inch so that the corner trim will hold it down. It isn't sticking so well there, but the trim will hold it down. We'll see how that does. I had expected it to be thicker than it is. The exposed surface after application is very smooth therefore probably not paintable. That's a drawback. I will be coating the roof with metal roof coating from Dicor. Don't know how that will react at the edges ... UPDATE: This summer (2024) after applying it in fall of 2023, I find it peeling back at the edges. Also this product will not accept paint or rubber coating over it. It is blistering off. The major problem is it is peeling at edges. Very disappointing!
