Crisper pan works
Love the crisper pan. It actually works to crisp up food in the microwave. I find myself using the stove less.

ASTOUNDING! Crispy Browning in a Microwave!
I am seriously impressed! This really works! First trial: reheating leftover spring rolls. Flaky, crisp crust, & perfectly warmed inside. I actually let it cook too long, and the skin browned more than necessary. Still, I consider it a 100% success! Next trials: Reheating pizza, both refrigerated and frozen: The crust was warm and crispy, similar to a fresh pan pizza, and the slices were all nicely warmed without cold spots. Again: 100% satisfaction! The pan is thick and sturdy, heavier than an oven sheet, and it has a beautiful nonstick surface: literally cleans up with a paper towel! I quickly went from skeptic to believer, and now, not only do I wholeheartedly recommend this ‘microwave frypan,’ but I’ll be sending them as gifts, and looking at other microwave pans to add at home. Worth the money, if just to avoid soggy pizza crusts!

Pretty good but still evaluating
A step in right direction using your microwave for cooking food but don't expect a browning substitute for pan frying or grilling. You preheat this platter for a specific number of minutes depending on what you are cooking before placing your food on it. With the heat stored in it from microwaving with no food yet, when food is placed on it and microwaved, it's stored heat and microwave energy cook your food faster and (hope to) brown your food too. Too early to judge this platter yet as I only used it a few times. I preheated this platter for 4 minutes prior to placing a ham and cheese sandwich on it. The bread did not brown at all but sandwich was good. I used my home-made light rye bread that has 1 teaspoon of sugar in a 1.5 pound loaf, this probably the reason the bread didn't brown because sugar in bread causes it to brown. I also re-heated a sausage in a store bought hot dog bun. The bun was a little brown after, as if toasted in a toaster, not soft like normal in a microwave. My Panasonic microwave is also new and I'm learning how to use it with it's sensor cooking system. It uses steam from cooking to regulate time cooked. I used an incorrect setting while learning to cook two chicken thighs. I used 3 minutes sensor cooking, then used a temp probe into the meat for doneness, still way undercooked. I switched to 6 minutes at full power. The chicken looked good after that and was eatable but was a bit too dry so my guess, probably over cooked. Next time I'll wrap the chicken with uncured turkey bacon with no nitrates or nitrites. I would buy it again if necessary, so I'll give this platter 4 stars for now,

A gift for your microwave you'll use every day
Who knew you could put a metal pan in our microwave? This is one of the handiest tool in my kitchen. Crisp up frozen French fries, reheat left over's. It's useful for so many things that you thought you needed to use the oven for. Very low cost, washes up quickly. I've been gifting my adult children with this so they won't take mine home with them!

Specifications: Material: aluminum and silicone. Oven safe: NOT for use in oven.
I will be returning item: The item specification states "material: metal", "Oven Safe: Yes", A picture states: "multiple cooking method" The pictures nor the specifications state that the product is made of aluminum and silicone and that it is not for use in a conventional oven. This information is however stated in the "User Welcome Guide" that comes with the product (on pages 13-14.) The specifications need to include this correct information to prevent returns from customers that the product does not meet their needs. I need a 12" metal pan that is oven safe for a combination microwave/convection oven. I will have to return this product.

GE replacement is a ripoff
works great so far as a replacement for an advantium metal tray so far. baked pizza rolls at 400 without issue. beats the hell out of paying 130 dollars for mostly the same thing from GE. Finished pizza rolls were crispy and well baked. Avoid the ripoff for a missing metal tray. we'll see how it reacts to speedcook mode in the future.

Not Great for Microwave Pizza and Warps
Doesn't work as well as described for making microwave pizza, but was semi-OK. First one I got warped on first use. I returned it for a replacement, which arrived warped. Warp isn't too bad and hasn't gotten worse, so I'll keep it since there don't seem to be any better alternative on Amazon. I've tried the Nordic Ware equivalent, but it's no good for microwave pizza.

Used this to replace the original microwave oven cooking tray. Works as good as oem or better. Time will tell if it lasts but looks like it will.
