Ozzy & Jake E Lee
This is my favorite release by Ozzy and when I discovered Jake E Lee. As a teen when tis first was released it had all the elements needed to attract me to buy this album right down to the classic and highly recognizable album cover. It has been in regular rotation on my playlists since then so it had to be one of the 1st albums i picked up when i started collecting vinyl records again.

It’s the original recording!!!
When I first heard about this 40th Anniversary re-edition of Bark At The Moon I was hesitant to preorder it fearing it was going to be the re-recorded version with Rob Trujillo and Mike Burdin that circulated in the early 2000s and that I found atrocious. Happy to announce that it’s the original version in all its glory, with the original back cover featuring Tommy Aldridge and Bob Daisley’s names, it also has the original insert with lyrics and band picture and it even comes with the limited poster that some copies included back in the day. I couldn’t be more pleased. Well done, Ozzy!!!

Solid album, worth buying
Bark at the Moon was the first of two albums with Jake E Lee. I do like Bark at the Moon, just not quite as much as I do the first two Ozzy albums with Randy Rhodes, or the first two he did with Zakk Wylde. Can easily recommend this album as a solid rock album, it's just a step below the other amazing Ozzy albums.

Fantastic remaster!!!!
So much negativity for this 2002 remasterI am totally familiar with the original Bark At The Moon release and played it constantly!I love Jake E Lee a lot!I think this 2002 remaster is fantastic!Gone are the 80's reverbs and thin snare sounds! This remaster is fat!Specifically let's talk about the albums center pieceCenter Of EternityThe opening bells sound menacing with a low ring modulation fatnessThe monk choir is so realNext the cheesy Casio organ present on the original is now a giant way better fat cathedral organ! The relentless beat starts and the bot are really kickin'!Jake's guitar is raw with no Leslie speaker track! It's really great! Don't get me wrong, I love Leslie guitar, but it is a treat to hear the guitar in a purer form! <3There is a flanging effect in the bridge before the soloWhen the outro begins there are some alternate killer drum and guitar fills! That is so fun!!!!Thank goodness the crafty folks remastering were able to seamlessly incorporate these outro parts!I say fantasticI say this remastered version gives the listener a new glimpse of the fantastic sessionsIf you are someone expecting the original mixes this may not be for youBut if you dig a tight clean new view then you with be very pleased as IYay!!!!

Ozzy Osbourne Bark at the Moon on vinyl!
I bought this album when it was released on cassette and it remains one of my favorite Ozzy albums. I later bought a version of it on CD only to discover it had been remixed and sounded different. I'm happy to report this latest vinyl version seems to have the original mix and sounds great. The pressing is quiet and flat. It also came with a nice inner sleeve and poster. If you don't own an original copy on vinyl, this one is the next best thing.

Amazing Album
I have no idea about the differences between the original and the remaster. I bought a used copy so I am not sure if it is the remaster or original. Whatever version it is, this album is amazing. I have followed Ozzy for a long time and can't understand why it took me so long to get this album. I have kind of been moving backwards, starting with Live and Loud, then No More Tears, No Rest for The Wicked, The Ultimate Sin and now this. I will obviously have to pick up the 2 Rhoads albums soon.As for this one, it is solid from start to finish. I think there is not a fan that doesn't know the seminal title track, but You're No Different, Rock 'n' Rebel and Waiting for Darkness are very solid as well. The album does have some synthesizer, or some effect similar to it, but this was part of many different 80's bands and fits here. I really can't understand why Jake E. Lee wasn't kept around. This and The Ultimate Sin both rock. Yes Zack is good as well, but Lee sure had some very good chops on these two records.
