Attractive price, strong performer ...liked so much, I ordered a 2nd one!
Solid reel for attractively low price. I heard about this reel from my fishing partner, who has been fishing saltwater from the surf for 20+ years consistently for 1-3 times per week. He fishes with nice equipment: $300 Shimano reels, $150-250 rods, etc....so imagine how shocked I was when he showed up one day with his new Yoshikaw reel (purchased off of Amazon) and after casting for 30 minutes, was raving entire time about how smooth & powerful the reel performed! We first a couple of more times together, noticing he still was fishing with the Yoshikawa, and when I inquired more about it, does he still like it, how much it cost & where he bought it? Etc.. I was no longer a skeptic.I went home and ordered the exact same Yoshikawa CY6000 (from Amazon, along w/ a few other fishermens' must haves:) that evening, and received my items without any hiccups a few days later.I've had the Yoshikawa for about 5 months now and have fished 2 times a week consistently with it. Ive fish from the beach and from my kayak with the Yoshikawa and found it performed so well that I ordered a 2nd one!I'm merely an intermediate level fisherman who will not like purchase high end fishing equipment (unless maybe I hit the lottery) but instead enjoying finding and using solid and affordable equipment. I recommend the Yoshikawa 100% and recommend this seller as well, as they were efficient and responsive each time I asked a questions.

Happy
Cannot comment on long-term performance....But...I ordered the 5000 series Yoshikawa Bait Feeder on Friday to replace an Okuma Avenger that crapped out after giving a dozen years of great service. It arrived Sunday. I mated it to my Okuma Longitude 8' two-piece, spooled it with 20 lb 9 strand braid, and today, Tuesday, I christened it with this 31" Striper from a New Hampshire shore spot. Everything looks, feels, and functions well. Thus far as good as the Okuma. For $35...if it lasts a year or more, I'll be very happy. If it lasts and lasts, then it's the best value I've found. Time will tell. But it still get's Five Stars in my early returns.

Nice features, average quality
Yoshikawa Baitfeeder Spinning Reel 3000Nice features, average qualityThis a a good option if you don't want to spent big money for a high end spinning reel. I was comparing the fit and finish to a Shimano 4000 which is comparable in size and line weight options. The Shimano looks like plastic and isn't ashamed of showing it. The Yoshikawa has plastic well hidden. Other video reviews mention the shiny chrome paint erodes quickly, time will tell if that is true.My main concern is the handle shaft that inserts into the gear box of the main body. The teeth are plastic. If you don't have the main drag set properly when battling a big fish, I worry that the teeth will sheer off and make the reel unusable. As for the bait feeder mechanism, it works ok. Mine seems to have little if any range to gauge how much bait feeding drag you can adjust. It's either loose or looser. But you get a bargain spinning reel, with nice features for about $30. That's a pretty good deal :)review date: 041519

Clicker is not loud.
This was for my daughter to have for fishing on the Bogue Inlet Pier. At 9 years old, she gets excited about going fishing with me and this was her first time using it. Long story short, the bait runner isn't very loud. I didn't hear a thing when my little girl started shouting and pointing to her new pole telling me she had a bite. She was holding her other rod so I went over to check and sure enough, something was taking drag! So I told her I would reel it in for her while she fought her other fish. Man did that fish fight, when I got it close to the pier I just lifted up hand over hand. It was an 18" Black Drum that weighed 3.5lbs! Needless to say she was proud walking back from the pier house after the weigh in. Reel worked beautifully and the drag was spot on. Filled with 30lbs braid this combo is a fish slayer!

Fishing reel
Pulled a reel out of the box and wasn't able even to move the handle. Completely locked, I am positive there was no quality control whatsoever before boxing the product.

Super smooth and catch big fish
The media could not be loaded. I decided to buy one because one of my fishing buddies keep bragging to me his yoshikwa baitfeeder.Actually I did some research before I paid. Find some review video on Youtube and found a fishing guy name Elstan Perez caught some nice big catfish just with the CY4000.This reel spins super smooth and casting distance seems like no limit. It is my first time to use a baitfeeder reel, and I do think it is cool and important to handle those unexpected condition or species with this feature. We do lake fishing for bass a lot and fish for bluefish along river sometimes. This yoshikawa reel should fish with me for a long time.

Cranked up
The reel has nice balance and is smooth operation, but it does have one problem the crank handle screw does not stay tight.

Its a good reel
There are two reasons i like this reel 1) it works and holds up to being abused at a lower cost than other reels. I use it fishing from rocks and from the pier, it makes no sense to buy a $300 reel that will get droped or knocked over onto hard surfaces.I like the product for the money.
