The wire stripper is sharp and works, but the head of that romex stripper kinda gets in the way, so I almost never use it. Do not try and use this tool to pull the Romex off unless you are using the flat surface at the biting end. If you try to use the sharp cutters and pull on the pliers themselves you may damage the conductors inside the sheathing to counteract this southwire has made it so the grips slide off easily you are intended to cut the wire with this tool and then pull it out of the box with your hand. From what I can tell of the reviews the bad ones are either people being too picky or people who don't know how to properly use this tool. I found I have to put one finger, of the hand holding the tool, around the front of the tool to keep the handles intact.
