The quality is good and I feel they would be warm enough for my son looking at the material used. They were available like one size and it was a bit bigger for my son. I could not use them immediately now, but for next winter it would be a perfect fit. I am not sure if he would like any mittens by then. These will be big size for 1-2 year old. They have a wrist snap so you can clip the gloves together so they aren't as easily lost. They have an adjustable wrist closure so you can snug them down so snow won't get down into them.
