Needed a turning peel for my Alfa Brio oven. I've used this peel for a few dozen pizzas, and am very satisfied with the performance. It has a hefty quality feel to it, not a low quality item. I'm still deciding if I like the slider handle, it's easy to remove if I choose. Nice clean rivets, it's a nice turner that I do not regret purchasing. I orinally wanted a gi metal turner, but I feel this is just as good for half the price.

I am a Neapolitan Pizza fan, and have practiced this hobby for over 20 years. I have many pizza peels from long ones for pizza al metro to round one for turning. I bought this because it was slightly less expensive than others and appeared sturdy. I needed a 9" diameter since I had a 6" which is way too small. The product is excellent. This is not used to launch the pizza in the oven. This is used for turning the pizza while cooking at very high Neapolitan temperatures (~850F). It works well and have no complaint. Highly recommended. If you are looking for a pizza peel to launch the pizza, this is NOT it.

The 1 star reviews are uncalled for because those who wrote them did not use the product properly. This product is a pizza "turning" peel. It is used for turning a baking pizza already in the pizza oven! It's NOT for putting a prepared raw pizza in the oven. There are different pizza peels for that! Please read the product description before writing 1 star reviews and saying it doesn't work!

First off this is a great peel, and I came back to buy one for a friend, but, when I bought it in March (2022) I paid 39.99 for it, and it wasn't on sale, now the list price is 73.99, marked down to 54.99! (aug 2022) Pass, its aluminum and stainless, not gold and silver.

Jan. 2025 UPDATE I've used it for 2 seasons, it it has been great despite all the abuse (shuffling heavy pieces of wood, pushing hot coals, and yes turning many pizzas). I use this peel to not only spin pizza in the wood fired oven, but tend the fire, stir coals, lift pieces of wood into the fire. Used it for a month or so, it's held up very well.

After selling my Gonzy Dome pizza oven I retained this round pizza peel as I anticipated building my own pizza oven. Hasn't happened yet. BUT I have started making huge pancakes on an old lodge round stovetop griddle. Makes about a 9-10 inch pancake. Your normal kitchen spatula won't flip that without some kinda disaster. This round pizza peel turns it into a party. Almost as much fun as a pizza party and way less work and mess.

Haven't used it yet but can't wait to try it in my pizza oven I cook pizza on a tray but would love to use the pizza peel
