Very nice green tea
The folks who complained that the taste of this tea is weak, are missing out. If you read about sencha, it is a subtle tasting Japanese tea. I suppose if your taste buds are used strong tasting teas, this tea may seem bland, but I find the gentle flavor to be very nice, soothing, and the fragrance to be calming. Sip, do not guzzle and enjoy. :)

Can is now paper/cardboard, not metal.

The Tea inside is Not the Tea as Labeled.
I bought this tea before and it was great. So I ordered it again, this time and completely different. It is so very weak and flavorless. The color is supposed to be green as Japanese Sencha should be, but it is not. It is just drab greenish bown color. It is definitely not the tea it is labeled as. I am so disappointed! Due to the inconsistent product inside, I no longer will buy The Tao of Tea brand.

Smooth, relaxing & not bitter
I'm not sure why some reviews are so negative. I'm not from Japan but I've had green tea while in Japan & I've had several green teas in the USA & I have to say this is one of the best I've ever had. I recently had Sencha that a friend gave me who said the one they get is from a company in England & it's the best Sencha. It was good but this was much better (in my opinion). I ordered this because I had trouble finding the other one & it was twice the price. One sip from my very first cup of this & I was in love. Unlike most of the other green teas I have had over the years this one is mild, relaxing, smooth & there is no bitter taste like most of the green teas. What makes it even better is that it's organic (personal preference). This is the first The Tao of Tea product so I have no way to compare it to any of their other teas but the bottom line is this tea tastes wonderful. It is exactly what I was looking for in a green tea & have never found before. I never could quite figure out what the attraction was to green tea in the past because everyone I ever tried had a bitter taste. The tin it comes in is also very nice. It has an exterior lid & then once you open that there is another one inside that seals the can tightly to keep the tea fresh. I don't write reviews very often but this tea is so good I just felt I had to write a review.

Weak sencha tea. Little aroma, little sencha flavor. It’s okay if you like weak teas in general. I’ll stick with other sencha brands

This Tao of Tea loose leaf green tea is the best green tea I’ve ever had!

Tea not fresh and bad packaging.
I don't post many reviews but I feel I need to warn others. This tea was really bad and tasted stale and not fresh. Even the color of the tea was a pale and dull green compared to another brand I trust. This tea wasn't even air tight sealed and just loose in this cardboard cylinder container thing which explains the bad flavor. Typically I'm used to seeing tea in air tight bag but not this one.
