Blanket Hoodie for Kids, Oversized Wearable Sherpa Sweatshirt Pullover for Teens Youth, Gift Idea

I didn’t expect this to be my favorite, I had just purchased a big long one and really liked the idea of throwing on a warm top with pockets on cold mornings, but the long one was too big and thick for this time of year. I never would have ordered this which turns out to be child size (though it doesn’t say that on the description) had I known; I compared measurements after the fact with another listing of this same product that listed adult and child size options. I am not petite. I am a very average size female: about 5’5” tall and 20 lbs overweight, but this is the perfect size for me even though I like things loose — the “one size fits all” of most of these styles is not that great, too much fabric all over the place (especially the sleeves). The fit: it comes to maybe mid thigh, but not long enough to decently cover my butt if I bend way over. Looseness: I think I could gain 40 lbs (hope that never happens) and it would still fit comfortably. Sleeves: might be an issue for males and folks with longer arms; the sleeves are just long enough for me but I wouldn’t be upset if they were an inch or two longer; I tend to push my sleeves up anyway. Comfort: so soft and warm, and the pocket is a real treat with soft warmth from Sherpa softness on both sides of the pocket. My fingers get cold from drinking iced coffees all the time, and this is the only thing that warms them. I have since tried two more of the “one size fits all” and gave away one after trying it on, and am trying to like the other which may work out after I wash it a few more time (the comfy seems to come with a smell) but this is hands down my go-to hoodie blanket.

I have the Catalonia hooded poncho cape. I love it and so do my granddaughters ages 8 and 10. When I saw the oversized sweatshirts for kids I ordered one for each girl. I am not disappointed. They are the same pretty fleece and sherpa used in the cape. They are very soft and cuddly. The sherpa lining in the sweatshirts is not as thick as that in my cape which is very warm but the sweatshirts are warmer than most sweatshirts and better for indoor wear. They are oversized! I am 5'6" and wear size 12 and the sweatshirts are roomy on me. The sleeves have wide wrist bands that keep the sleeves pushed up to the arm length that is best for the girls. The length of the sweatshirts comes to a few inches above my knees. They are well past my granddaughters' knees. The oversized fit makes them very snuggly and comfortable and my girls like that. They love them for lounging and sleeping and that's what I bought them for. I think they are great!

I am constantly cold, and I live in Michigan. So, the cold, winter weather is not helping me. I asked my husband to buy me one of these for Christmas, and he refused because it was too "goofy" looking. Ok, I made it all the way to the end of January, wearing sweatshirts and long underwear when sitting and watching television or reading a book. Finally, I broke down and bought this for myself. Oh my gosh - I am finally warm. This thing is incredible. And I figured, if I am walking around the house wearing a blanket, why not go full on "goofy" and look like a teddy bear? To be clear, the teddy bear coat is a child's size. There is no adult version - that is not clear from the Amazon listing. This actually worked out really well for me because I am 5'3" woman, and I wear a size 16/18. The length of the coat hits above my knees, and it is actually a little longer in the back and shorter in the front. The length of the sleeves is also just right. The sleeves are finished with a soft elastic cuff. If I slip my wrists out of that cuff, my finger tips just peek out of the sleeves. As for roominess, this easily fits me like a men's 3X sweatshirt. I could fit myself and a small child in here. If you are slimmer than me, you will definitely have more room. Even though this coat is not long enough or big enough to tuck my feet and legs into if sitting down, the child's size is much easier to move around the house in. And if my legs get cold, I just toss a blanket on my legs and feet. Overall, the coat is really well made with good stitching. The tummy pocket is even lined, so that it is sherpa on the outside and the soft microfiber on the inside. I did wash it on arrival because it was leaving little fleece bits on my clothing. I washed it on delicate, cold water, no fabric softener. Then 10 minutes in the dryer, medium heat, and then I hung to to dry. This worked out great - it kept the coat soft but got rid of the fuzzies. I am really pleased with the quality of this item. It is not haute couture, but I am finally warm and toasty.

These are AMAZING! So soft and warm. Perfect for snuggling up on the couch, my kids even like to wear them to school for PJ days. Washed several times and they are holding up beautifully.

This is very comfortable. However, the end of it on the arms are not very comfortable.
