Great Product - Works as Advertised
Milky Spore is a bit pricey but when you consider that one application of the powder will protect for nearly ten years then it is well worth the investment. I applied the powder in April of 2019 and it is still doing the job. It is a fantastic product! I saw some comments about the safety of this product. Milky Spore will only harm Japanese Beetle Grubs and will have no effect on any other insect. Milky Spore Powder is a natural, safe and effective grub control product that is OMRI certified organic. It does not affect pets, beneficial insects, fish, bees, birds, other animals, plants, or man. It is not a poison. You just need to ensure that your pets are not in the area while you are applying the power. After the powder is watered in there will be no issues for humans, pets or wild life. I've done several videos on this product on my YouTube channel, Bud's Smart Home if you want to source more information on proper application of the powder.

Past 12+ years "chem free" with this has been very effective, easy and average cost a few dollars/year for large yard
The joyous sight of kids and pets tumbling all over a yard isn't so joyous when wondering about chemical exposures. So I didn't apply anything for years until I found the Milky Spore instead. Meanwhile, the grubs flourished and a skunk family happily followed. Since the infestation was bad, I started with a round of beneficial nematodes for some more immediate relief, then for longevity, I applied Milky Spore in 2004 to my and my parents' white grub infested yards and am only since last year starting to see a few grubs returning. I might not even have had those if not for a tree line that's been pushed back further exposing some previously untreated areas and some possible neighboring infestations that inched their way back through that area, as well as some new likely carried in on some new topsoil added over the years. Last year I purchased enough to finish most of both yards again and this order this Spring finished that job up. The lawn is lush and green and no sign of any grubs once again in the veggie, flower or shrub beds. Plenty of those are typically favorites of japanese beetles and grubs too. Of all the yard and garden maintenance there can be to do, this has got to be one of the easiest, least expensive on average, best bang for the buck and effort to do. The rewards are easy and fairly quick - and the best reward of all is no chemicals on any foods, hands or feet tracking into and through the house.

milky spore
It seems to be working, as I bought this to kill the grubs that the moles were seeming to thrive on, I haven't noticed any more bubbled mole tunnels running through my yard. After about 2 weeks of application, I actually saw the cat running after one that run across the street from our yard to the neighbors yard. If the product last ten or 15 years, I would not have to worry anytime soon and save a good amount of money over time. I'm almost certain that the yard is both grub free and mole free! Be sure to apply it before or during a gentle rain so that it soaks in the ground, as a strong rain will make it run off.

WORKS WELL 5 TO 7 YEARS IF YOU DO IT RIGHT
This is the quality milky spore disease powder, and the powder is a waaaay better deal than the granules; check the amount in each. This lasts about five years for us, and sixth year the moles start coming back near the edge of where it was placed. I "slice" the earth with a spade about 500-600 times on 1 acre lot, powder the hole from a cup of powder, then step on it. DO ONLY WHEN SOIL IS 60F+! The first year, grubs that are black on one end turn all white, which means infected with Milky spore. The following Spring your earthworms disappear due to carnivore moles not finding grubs, then moles tunnel over to your neighbor's lawn! Scattered mole tunnels began reappearing after fifth year, but not as bad as neighbor's lawn always is, Beware of copycat packaging that doesn't say St. Gabriels, but packaging is same color!

A natural answer to grub problems
This past year was year 1 after application. So far we have not had a problem with grubs ( or the skunks that go after them ). Hopefully, we’ve gotten rid of them. Beats the grub ex’s of the world, naturally…imagine that!

Wipes out those nasty Japanese beetles so they don’t destroy your crops and plants
I went through a huge Japanese beetle infestation on my property two years in a row, that completely decimated, my rose crops, and some of my other plants. Last year I started applying milk store to my lawn and gardens. I applied it in the spring, fall, and again this spring, along with beneficial nematodes last spring. This year, I’m only seeing the occasional Japanese beetle in my yard so this product has been extremely effective and I am beyond thrilled at the results! It does take some time and several applications to build up in the soil, but once it does build up, it is good for about 10 years.

Just put it down .
I put this Milky Spore Powder down to kill the grubs in my yard, which should discourage the night carnitas from digging up my ground. The only comment I can make at this point, for certain, is a negative one to the seller. The advertisement on the 40oz. bag states that if you put it down by the 1 teaspoon per drop it should cover 10,000 square feet. That , in my opinion, is a false advertisement by the seller. The last bag I purchased was definitely put down by the teaspoon and it might have covered 6000 square ft. at the most. I only have 1 acre of property. And there is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath house plus a 32’ x 28’ detached garage, and 2 driveways on it. I believe I have bought 3 or 4 of the 40oz. bags and 3 10 oz. bags of the St. Gabriel’s Milky Spore Powder. Very costly! I only hope it works as advertised.
