A very effective saw
This little saw has held up much better than the Fiskars product. This saw has been used on limbs twice the diameter of a soup can. The sharp teeth make quick work of trimming both green and dead wood. I am going to purchase more to give to my children.

Big saw in a small package.....WOW!!
I was looking for a cheap and handy saw for a specific task thinking that it would be a disposable item eventually. Wow.....was I ever surprised by how substantial this hand saw was. It is far more versatile than my original intended use and this thing is built like a tank! It's easy to grip, feels great in the hand and the blade is substantial. It can easily cut through wood that is half the width of the blade; a four inch branch. The folding mechanism is solid and the pull saw blade is very sharp. It will obviously do far more than I had originally planned and I can see this hand saw lasting for years. I have new uses for this saw, well beyond my original intended use. Substantial product and a great buy.

Folding saw
I bought this saw for use in backpacking, and it was so I could carry this in tandem with a knife to handle all bushcraft needs. My thought was that I could save weight by trading a larger chopping knife out for this saw. It turns out I can save a little depending on the knife it would replace. For example, this saw weighs 10oz, and an Esee 6 weighs 11.8oz. A few other common bushcraft knives this might replace would be maybe a Kabar BK2 at 15.9oz, Buck 119 at 7.5oz, Ontario Blackbird at 8.4oz, Bark river bravo 1.5 at 8.6oz. The saw is built well, locks well, and is about as comfortable as a hand saw can be. Teeth came sharp and I can't wait to try it out this spring. I will update the review after I have had a chance to use it.

Great saw, amazing customer service, buy with confidence!
This saw is great! I use it to cut both fresh limbs (Iโve cut branches up to 5 inches) and dried wood. I found it cuts both very well. It is really well built, super sturdy, tight, locks up nicely and securely. Iโve carried it in a pocket, and felt secure that the blade wouldnโt open. It came extremely sharp and seems to hold its edge very well. One time I was cutting a piece of wood and hit a screw pretty hard. I took a few cuts back and forth before I realized this. The screw dulled the blade. It still cuts, but much more slowly. I wrote the company about purchasing another blade, making it clear that the damage was my fault. They responded within 12 hours, and to my surprise are sending me a new saw for free, even though the damage was my user error. Unbelievable. Let this give you confidence buying this saw. Companies this good deserve your business. They certainly have mine.

Great Saw, Great Price, saws great
This saw works fantastically. Itโs comfortable, the blade securely locks in place, the body is metal as well as the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism has a plastic cover but other than that itโs metal. I made user error Iโm so used to my Carpenrter hand saw, I forgot this is a Japanese style saw, it cuts on the backstroke, or when you pull the saw. After I remembered this important fact the saw cut perfectly and is quite aggressive. It has 9 teeth per inch and is not as aggressive as a saw that has 7 teeth per inch. It has triple cut teeth and cut quickly through green and dry wood both. I tested it on the maximum cut diameter of 4โ on all cuts, no problems. It even cut a 5โ piece. If you find yourself in that situation it did cut no problems but you need to use caution. Iโm older and have 40 years experience of experience both hiking in and packing in on horseback in Montana, Colorado, Texas, California. Iโd take this saw without hesitation. One thing you learn out in country be prepared for failure of equipment. Thatโs why I test anything I buy without mercy before it travels with me. I bought this saw when I saw the list of endorsements of who uses it, so I thought Iโd give it a try. So far itโs performing perfectly. I personally rely on an arsenal of tools that will get me back home. Saw, good camp axe, good knife. All axe and knife are multi functional. I Cary a tooth brush (orange in color to clean teeth while sawing a lot of wood. Have fun, be safe and enjoy.

like they suggest it really does cut best on the ...
Used it for the first time today teaching the wife how to harvest dead fall. Take into account that this is my first folding saw, but for the things that happened I have pro's and con's. Pro's are that when they say durable, they mean it. I got overzealous and attacked a full 6" branch and against their recommendation I was sawing back and forth, it got hung up on a pinch point, must have bent at least 2-3". I just pulled it free, no damage at all, not normal with saws I usually use. It is small enough when folded to fit in the little cargo pocket on my old Carhart pants, you know the ones, the diagonal short ones and I got through the 6" oak in maybe 5 mins. Not a pro or con, just a heads up, like they suggest it really does cut best on the pull stroke. Now for con's, I wish the closed position had a lock or at least a little tension, when you pull it out if you let go just a little, it will open. The pinion screw is a little janky, it was way too loose when it was delivered, I tightened it 1/8th a turn and it was way too tight. As I was sawing I think it even loosened a little, maybe a screw or pin lock to keep it where you like it would be nice. So, the overall? I don't regret the buy one bit, is it the best? Of course not, is it a very durable, perfectly functioning, small enough to pocket and worth it's price? Heck yea it is, I am more than satisfied with the price I paid and the quality I got.

Excellent handsaw, great customer service
This folding hand saw from EverSaw is an excellent buy. It is made from high quality materials and seems to be quite durable with a long work-life as long as it maintained properly. The teeth on the blade are amazingly sharp and provide an excellent, clean cut on the pull. The grip is quite comfortable with the rubber sheath. When unfolded, there is a locking pin that prevents the blade from folding/snapping shut while in use. I appreciate how the blade folds into the handle for storage as well as to hide the teeth, preventing any accidents. The only feature I wish the saw had was a way of locking the blade while it is folded to prevent it from opening. This would serve as another safety precaution (as I have kids who like to get at my tools and play around with them...I just have to take extra precautions while storing them). Additionally, the seller has gone out of their way to contact me and make sure I am satisfied with my purchase and provided maintenance tips. They seem sincerely interested in customer service.

Good for light use
I just used this saw for the first time to cut up my Christmas tree. The tree was only about 4 inches thick at the base. Pros: The grip is very comfortable, the locking mechanism is extremely easy to use, and the blade is a decent thickness. It was pretty easy, and comfortable, to cut through most of the tree. Cons: By the end of the first use, the blade was very loose. It seems easy enough to tighten, but I'm concerned about doing processing work in the woods. Overall, it's a decent saw for the price. I would probably put this in a car or go bag for emergencies. It doesn't seem sturdy enough for camp use.
