The media could not be loaded. Definitely puts out a good amount of heat. Don’t know if it’s any warmer than a traditional red heat lamp, but it keeps my dogs warm in our sun room. Also used for a litter of puppies. Works well. The bulb did rattle when I got it. It almost sounded like something was broken off inside it, but it worked fine. May have just been a small piece of glass. Who knows?

I use these bulbs in my chicken coop and they don't put off any light. This allows my girls to sleep better than if I use regular heat bulbs.

Is looks nice and works good when it's not broken. The housing falls apart easy and mine melted. For as expensive as it is, I expect better.

I use it to keep Babbs, my pot bellied pig warm in the winter. I built her an A-framed house in my garage and hung it from the ceiling. I moniyor the temperature inside and outside of her house and adjust the door opening as needed.

Have 4 of these in my 10x20 greenhouse. They work well but can't keep temps up when the weather gets down in the 30s. Not complaining because that's not what they were advertised for, just an FYI for others who may be looking.

Our hens are finally warm on those windy below 30 mountain nights! We tried a few other heat options but this one does the trick for the upper level (4x4) of the coup. It's so comforting to know they won't freese their little chicken butts at night! : )

The first one we bought only worked for a week. The second one for a couple of months. This type of bulb is supposed to last for years.

This will keep your birds warm or other small animals. I use it in a basement room in cold weather so my birds can perch under it. It heats the whole room several degrees and you can feel it. Keep it at least 3 feet away from medium to large size birds with a wire spaghetti strainer protector inside an aluminum brooder lamp shield.
