Cocoa Ghost

Very spicy but has a satisfyingly complex flavor so it has more going for it than just raw heat. The cocoa nature of it is not overwhelmingly sweet and goes quite well with chicken.

Pain is a not a flavor. Pain is also not something I want to associate with my food. I saw this sauce on Hot Ones and thought it sounded intriguing. I was not disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's HOT. Not the hottest of hot, but hotter than any other hot sauce I've had on purpose. However, it is well-balanced and tastes GOOD which makes the heat much more tolerable than something that is vinegar-forward and brings more pain than flavor to the party (unless you like the taste of pepper-infused vinegar, which I do not). I don't know that it's the most versatile sauce, though. It feels very... beefy, and as such, does add a bit of beefy flavor when used, so there are probably many dishes it won't pair well with. On most everything I use hot sauce on, though, it's great, and if I get too much, sure, it hurts, but it tastes good and it doesn't overstay its welcome.

Wonderful. I’ve had purchased this sauce multiple times. Delicious as always. Perfect mix of flavor and heat, goes great on everything I tried it on. Must have in your sauce rotation.

Loving hot sauces in general, I ordered the Queen Majesty Charcoal Ghost Hot Sauce with a number of other sauces visible in the shared picture. I absolutely love the sauce. It's quite versatile pairing just as well with morning scrambled eggs as an evening steak. Tasted alone it is definitely hot but not intolerably so. Definitely not what I'd consider typical "ghost pepper" hot, with the flavor and heat more closely matching the chipolte and habanero peppers. It somewhat reminded me of a more refined and quite hotter A1 steak sauce on steroids, though significantly less sweet (I take this as a plus for the flavor). Two reasons for giving the sauce 4 stars versus 5. First and foremost, while it's quite well flavored $30 is too steep a price to justify ordering it on a regular basis when so many other good sauces can be purchased for about 1/3 the cost. I'd be mighty tempted to keep it stocked on the shelf for $20 a bottle, as it did strike me as being worth a slight premium, but not at double to triple the cost of other sauces. Less of an issue but one I'll also note is the color isn't quite black, nor even "charcoal gray" but some dark, DARK shade of green that's ALMOST black. Aesthetically I think it would be just a tiny bit more appealing if it were actually black of a normal shade of green for that matter... color is just a tad bit unappealing but the flavor on the food more than made up for it, as again I loved it on whatever I put it on.

Do not misunderstand,, this is HOT..... but it is too good to stop using it. Some sauces are just fire and no flavor. This one is awesome. The sweetness is perfect. I will be buying more. FYI, if you want to tone it down a little, mix it with a touch of sour cream. Oh God, I could put it on anything

I've tried a ton of the sauces utilized on Hot Ones, and this is BY FAR my favorite (and the only one I will certainly be keeping in stock at all times). I don't agree with the "beefy" comment; though it may not be extremely versatile, this pairs perfectly with chicken and very likely the right kind of fish. It's a great, cocoa-forward flavor with no sweetness that is just plain addictive, even if the heat is more pervasive than you might expect. It reminds me of a flavor you'd find in an authentic molé. It won't be for everybody, but those who like it will LOVE it.

Fantastic flavor. I can’t describe it other than an earthy flavor. Not fruity at all. I found myself just looking around the house for something to put a few drops of this sauce on. The taste is instant addictive. It is hot, but a classy hot. Not forehead sweating, blunt rudeness. But nice ramping up and roll-off of heat. And that flavor! Will definitely be a stock item in my collection of go-to hot sauces.

Amazing flavor, it is hot but it dissipates as you eat so you can actually enjoy it
