Great replacement
Works amazingly well compared to our old one we were replacing. I like that you have to push down the button to open the door once it shuts fully. It was easy to install for my husband. Quality is good. Glides nicely. Only problem we have had is the lock mechanism is misaligned so it doesn’t work reliably which isn’t a big deal we just don’t use that feature. Great replacement door and worth the money

Great quality and great looking!
I was impressed with the quality of the materials. It was also very easy to assemble! And, it looks great! I am very happy with the door and how it looks on my home!

Good door if you have extra screws and put in the mesh screen.
Was easy to assemble, had nice rollers, and is rather sturdy. Better than the one I bought from Lowes and returned. On the unintuitive side - The adjustment parts with rollers on the upper and lower sides are very wide (~4+ inches) when installed in the 82" door - what is the reason to specify different sizes? I expected more narrow frame extrusions. The Philips screws for assembly were impossible to screw in - used hex head screws instead. The door parts came in robust tube - but the edges on the ends of the frame parts were slightly bent - easy to fix with pliers. Overall, decent replacement door.

Paid for new and got opened damaged screen door kit
When ordering a kit like this, I rarely expect it to be pristine but I do expect that when I order a “new” kit, I get a new kit. However, I received a kit that was obviously opened before (see picture of one end “sealed” by two pieces of packing tape). Upon further inspection, I found one piece of the frame had a dent in it, package of screws had been ripped open, scratches on the paint of another piece of the frame, and the instructions were folded inside out (not that this part bothers me, it’s just another indicator that someone else had received this kit before me).As for the skills needed for putting the screen door together…moderate skills are needed. Having the right tools helps (I.e., long PH2 bit for drill driver, and one reg Philips screwdriver). When assembling the frame, use the standard Philips screwdriver to set the screw into the frame, then the drill driver to complete to process. Attach top and bottom pieces to one side piece first, then attach the other side piece. For the screen, I start at about 6” from one corner, working towards the closest corner. As you work the spline in, stretch it a bit as you work it to make it easier to push in with the roller. Work the roller slowly so it doesn’t jump out of the channel and potentially cut the screen.Frame of the screen door is sturdy. Wheels are a bit smaller than my older screen door but works well enough. Latch hardware is plastic so not expecting it to last long. I’ll probably look for 3rd party parts at some point. May also change the screen for one that is made for a house with pets.I would recommend this product but I can’t since I don’t want to recommend something where you might not get a “new” product.

Solid, adjustable screen door.
Took about 45 minutes to assemble. But was taking my time. Easy assembly, screen was good size. Plenty of room to trim. The weather strip is good size. There is a chintzy lock mechanism that I just threw away. Has about 2 inches or more of adjustment.

good quality, easy to assemble
the quality is like 3x better than the builder screen I replaced. Watch out for a mistake that I made. I wanted the screen to be taut with no wrinkles. I pulled it tight while installing the spline. It came out great looking but I over achieved. When I installed it, I saw that I had a slight bow in the middle along the length. I had to add a spacer to catch the latch. But it slides great and is a very nice unit.

Great door replacement, maybe…
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: The door was installed summer 2024 and it worked beautifully. By late Spring 2025, it became incredibly difficult to open and no longer remains on the track. I can’t be certain if it’s due to poor product quality or if something happened to it during the winter months. We live in Michigan, so the door was utilized last summer and the first part of fall—that’s it. Our roof has a decent overhang, so there was never any snow that piled up against the door. We can’t for the life of us figure out what might’ve caused this, especially because it appears perfectly fine… Perhaps a tip if you go with this product would be to remove it when it’s not in use for extended periods. So disappointed. This screen door worked perfectly as a replacement for the old one. It’s been up for a week or so and has been working great. The door frame feels strong and it slides nicely. There aren’t any gaps and fits well inside our existing framing. It took two of us to put it together and was fairly simple. I recommend watching a how-to video on splining for tips and tricks—I was so worried about ripping the screen based on the reviews. After splining the first side of the screen, we realized that it had pulled significantly from the other side and had to start over. That’s when it happen… it ripped. The screen seemed to be of decent quality, so I’m not sure if it was due to the spline tool rubbing up against the seam following two installs or if the removing of the spline created a weakness. However, we were able to pull the one inch long rip over slightly and continue on without it showing. Honestly, since the door was so affordable compared to most on the market, we have no problem replacing the screen in the future now that we know how. If you don’t want to spend $300+ at Home Depot, buy this door!
