I upgraded my mid-2012 MacBook Pro 9,2 13in 2x4GB Timetec RAM to 2x8GB Timetec RAM and my aging computer is able to handle a lot more. It's a night and day difference. When I upgraded the included 2x2GB factory RAM several years ago, I thought 2x4GB was the max my computer/model could handle. I am thrilled with the new capabilities, especially given how limiting the 8GB RAM was in working on graphic files. The overall performance of my computer on internet browsing capabilities has increased dramatically as well. I am known to keep a lot of tabs open and I have yet to encounter the dreaded spinning ball or involuntary restart since installing this 2x8GB RAM (both were daily issues for me prior). The affordable price is a HUGE bonus as well. My only is advice is to not wait like I did, do it now...you won't be disappointed. Installation was super easy. I watched an internet video on RAM installation for my specific MacBook just to be sure I installed it correctly and I did on the first try, no tools needed. I consider myself computer literate, though I have zero experience in working on the inside of my computer. Super easy!

works as intended and makes older mbp usable for current needs

I usually use a Mac Mini, a MacBook Pro and an iMac all from 2011, which I personally take care of. The memories I bought I intended to put on the Mini but for the moment I wanted to install them on the iMac to bring it almost to its maximum (32GB). iMac on which there are a 240 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD. RAM installation is simple, just open the flap at the bottom of the machine. With the 12 GB I had until a few days ago the iMac was already very fast, even with several memory-hungry programs active at the same time, both resident and with streaming from the internet running. In the next few days, I will be more aware of how much better it will perform with this upgrade. In any case, the RAM of all four banks were recognized without problems already at the first start-up. 2 x8GB + 2 x 4GB.

My 2012 MacBook Pro with 4 GB of memory badly needed an upgrade. It was simple to install the 2x8GB memory sticks and it has given the old boy a badly needed upgrade. Very pleased with this product.

I was looking forward to upgrade the RAM on my 2012 Macbook Pro, from 8 to 16 GB. They seem to work fine, and even though this machine is now old and not as fast as the newer models, I do feel it works faster in multitasking. I've also read that RAM gets old and replacing them also makes the computer to go faster. So far, so good. Plus they came really fast, and well packed!

I upgraded my old macbook pro from 8 to 16 GB . Works perfect . As I had already installed a Crucial SSD , this macbook pro is now running at par if not better than the later macbook pros which have limitations to upgrade from 8 to 16 GB ( solderd on ram) . With the extra ram , I can run several virtual machines on my macbook pro hacking and penetration classes , without worry about ram allocation for the various virtual machines . The price was also 30 % cheaper than what i had been offered by a reseller . Thank you !
