OtterBox Commuter Series LITE Case for Samsung Galaxy A20 - Retail Packaging - Black

The phone case has protected my phone many times from fall damage. Its a pretty cool case and the durability is good, its sturdy, and honestly worth it. From the fall damage there are tiny, minimal chips in the case but that is completely fine by me because they are barely noticeable and anticipated. I have had this case for almost a year now and it has protected my phone very well. But of course with use it has scratches and random stains that I'm pretty sure it can be cleaned. One last detail I want to point out is the rubber, silicone part of the case. It does indeed get very dirty and will change color. I have tried washing with bleach and baking soda to get the stain out and it made slight improvement. But other than that the phone case itself is pretty good! Overall, 10/10 would recommend! 10/15/2021 ***UPDATE*** This morning I woke up to my first actual break for this case. Where the charger port is there is a missing piece, it is cracked...broken. I am honestly suprised it lasted this long and that it broke completely off even after only a year and 3 months of use. And by the way I did not abuse this case. This case was used as normal use/wear.

This was a great match for my old one. It seems fine and my phone fits it perfectly.

This review is for the "Commuter Lite" specifically for the Samsung A20. It is indeed a 2 piece case, the quality type that has a soft silicone inner with a hard but flexible plastic shell that fit seamlessly together. This is the best design in my opinion as it offers an outer shell with the soft, shock absorbing material encasing the phone. There's no excess bulk or gimmicks here, it's very low profile but engineered well enough to do its job. This is my 3rd and most recent Otterbox case in 5 years. I'm a repeat customer because they work. I dropped the others more times than I can remember on all types of surfaces. Never a broken phone from a drop. My gripe with these are the price. They are SO EXPENSIVE considering the type and amount of materials used. They probably make 10 of these for a nickel. Can't blame capitalism though. Nobody forced me to buy it.. Still doesn't change the fact it almost feels like you've been violated, as if a crime has been committed. You'll see. Add one to your cart, they are good. I'd say the best even, but when it arrives and you open the package it's like, "Whaaaat?.. $27 dollars for THIS?" Man, what a stretch. It hurts so bad you might need to check for bleeding.

I love the color of this case and how durable it is. I have dropped my phone so many times that I'm sure any other case would of failed. I will always recommend otterbox phone cases. Some years ago like in 2016, I had a small phone and it had an otterbox on it. I dropped it while getting into the car and I thought it feel under the middle of the car as I couldn't see it. I turn the car on and start backing up; then I felt a bump and my heart sunk. I get out expecting to see my phone in pieces, but instead only the case was in pieces and the phone was fine. To this day I will only use otterbox phone cases.

I purchased this January 2021 and today March 2023 it finally has a chip. It has protected my phone from hundreds of falls onto concrete floors, sidewalks, sliding down hills, falls from various heights onto different surfaces, and so many other things. I am always dropping it and today was the day the corner of the case chipped but my phone is still perfectly fine. The small chip could be fixed with super glue but I have ordered another case as it is the best I have dealt with. The two part design is simple to take on and off but stays firmly on and doesn't randomly pip off like others. This has been my only case for the last two years.

Robust, high lip for screen protection, a bit of a slippery texture I seem to be dropping it a bit more than my last one. At least it is pretty fall proof now.
