WEST-B Practice Questions: WEST-B Practice Tests & Exam Review for the Washington Educator Skills Tests-Endorsements

I bought this to help me prep for the reading and writing sections of the WEST-B. I bought the Kindle version. I just now returned from the testing center and can now adequately review the practice questions material of this book.Overall, this product is not very good. It is obvious that it was put together very quickly and pushed to production before thorough review and thought was put into it. This is demonstrated on the very first sample question of the whole book with a very obvious typo/spelling error.The reading section was good not great. The level of quality of the questions and associated reading material is a level or two below the quality of the questions and material of the actual test, but it does an okay job of trying to replicate the real test.The sample questions for the writing section of the WEST-B are absolutely terrible in this book. They do not represent at all the style or form of the actual test. I would recommend not even looking at the writing sample questions. In this book, the sample questions are weird sentences formatted in a way barely legible that do not represent the structure in the real test. These questions provide a sentence and then ask which word is wrong. In the actual test, you are given a writing sample. In that sample a few words might be underlined. The questions associated with the writing sample are questions about grammar, run-on sentences, sentence arrangement, the writer's purpose and audience, vocabulary replacement, etc. This book's practice questions are not representative of the real test.Unfortunately I was not able to find a lot of helpful/high quality prep material. The best material I was able to find was from the actual WEST website in the sample questions they provide. The reading and writing sample questions provided on the website only offer about ten sample questions for each.

Yesterday I received the practice book. It was wrapped, so I know that it’s new. But later I found out that the book is missing 8 pages in the middle, from the 32nd to 41st page :(Otherwise, I would be a happy owner of this book.

Although I don't have much to compare it to, I found this study guide helpful in identifying "what" I need to study. Practicing my essay/math skills is invaluable. The answer key is easy to access and includes detailed info on how they came to the correct conclusion and solved the math problems. This in itself is a teaching tool. There were a few typos but I was able to decifer the correct intent of the text. I would recommend this guide to anyone needing to take the West B test.

This book contains 2 full-sized (reading, writing, math) tests with answers and explanations. I don’t need to use additional books to learn questions, given explanations and answers in this book are clear and complete. In addition, this book arrived 2days earlier then scheduled. Highly recommend this seller.

The book did an alright job preparing me for the reading and math portions, however, the writing portion was nothing like what they had on the test.

This book helped me pass the 3 exams. I just did the exercises.

The official West-B test was different than these 3 practice tests. The math section helped me study and prepare well. Unfortunately, the reading section took a long time during the test. There was always no "correct the sentences" on the test.Also, be aware that you CANNOT use a calculator for the math section. Practice long hand math and division.The writing prompts were a good practice though. Make sure to plan ahead for time. The writing section took me around 1.5 hours.essay section

I just took the writing test today. I thought the practice question did help in refreshing my memory on rules for punctuation and capitalization.
