Beautiful unique necklace!

Got for daughter and I, beautiful results, beautiful box. It was fun making a gooey squeemish memory together. Necklace works great, very pretty. We both struggled more than expected to open the oysters, just no talent for it. Finally got wire clippers. Feels like disecting frogs in grade school, smells like it too, but an adventure to be sure.

My mother loved it, super fun experience. Real pearl.

Hard to open shell but got a white one and looks super cute

Not only do you get a beautiful gift from this, you also get to experience prying the shell apart without spilling the liquid (😆) My sister ended up getting a beautiful black pearl that looks perfect in the silver lotus holder.

Our child was interested to know where pearls come from. We bought this product to give him an experience. We were initially hesitant to purchase this product because some of the reviews were bad…”no pearl”, “pearl looked cheap”. Also, some of the reviews mentioned the necklace was of low quality (this is true). We decided to take the chance and buy this product and hoped Amazon would refund us if there was no pearl inside. To our pleasant surprise, we found a purple pearl inside, and our son was happy to go through the experience of opening up the clam shell and finding it. The pearl looks shiny and egg shaped. It may be a fake pearl, but you get what you pay for. It was really the experience we were after anyway. Be careful when you open the razor clam. It is sharp and could cut skin. The tiny, plastic tool that comes with the package to open the clam is not easy to handle if you’ve got no experience opening oysters or clams and/or if you have limited manual dexterity. If this is you, it’s probably better to break the clam with a pair of pliers. We are from the west coast, so it was no problem for us, having opened many an oyster over the years. We did not see any glue in the clam shell, like some the reviews mentioned. Overall a worthwhile experience for less that $20. If we cared about the necklace, our rating would have been 3 or 4 stars. We just wanted this product for the experience of opening a clam to find a pearl which is exactly what we got.

Such a hit gift. My daughter absolutely LOVED prying it open with the tiny tool and then collecting her precious treasure. The necklace is good quality and very pretty to hold the pearl. Highly recommend this to all my mermaid loving girlies
